OK. I go here almost everyday I am embarassed to say. But almost always to just chit-chat. Itís seems that lately Iíve tried most of the things I want to try that are available in bottle shops, especially when I drop by so often. So even though Iím biased, I will still say this is probably the best bottle shop in California. More flavors. Lots of rarities that linger on the shelves and the back room. Lots of locals with great homebrews and outoftown beers. Insanely knowledgable staff. Racks of barrels for aging beers. In house brewery. Pizza place next door. Beach a few blocks away. Next week is at tasting of Veritas 006 and 002. Prices are the same as every other place. Lots of awesome beer events. There are very places on the earth with such beer awesomeness. Granted itís new: only 1.5yrs old, so that gives other bottle shops on the planet a slight advantage...or maybe not. Maybe Bottleworks is better. I havenít been there yet.

The bottle shop has much shorter hours than Pizza Port itself, but theyíre posted in plain sight on the front door. The selection in the Pizza Port bottle shop is the best selection in the North County Coastal area. You can bring your friends and open the bottles you buy in the shop as theyíll provide glasses. I got my bottles to go. The service is friendly and helpful. The prices are spot on, extremely reasonable.

Small place with a half dozen beer fridges next to Pizza Port Carlsbad. Nice guy at the desk was helpful and chill. Pretty solid selection of beers ranging from Pizza Port to Alesmith to Allagash to lambics, German beers, etc. Really solid value too.

Great place! I spent nearly every moment I could in here whilst on my week stint in Carlsbad. This was the first ídrink-iní bottle shop I went to in the States and it may well still be my favourite. The staff are really friendly and very knowledgable, they were a lot of fun to chat to about beer and life in general and there were often some really cool people in there drinking some rare beers. As I recall the beers were the same price to drink in as they were to take out, I may be wrong on that, but if they were more it wasnít by very much. One of my favourite places to drink in the US!

Absolutely bitchin place. They have an amazing selection and a very cool, laid back vibe. You can purchase bottles to go or to open there. The staff is very knowledgeable and an all around really cool group of guys. They do not serve food there but they have no problem with you bringing food from next door. They are my go to location for beer in san diego.

Great bottle shop connected to one of my favorite breweries on earth. You can find a lot of rare beers from California but also a great international beer selection. We were drinking a Schlenkerla in the shop.

This is a cool idea. The prices are a little higher than most bottle shops, but this place has an outside patio and a table inside for on-premise consumption. Factoring that in, the prices are way lower than any other bar in town for bottles. The selection is pretty damn good and the staff was very, very knowledgeable and quite helpful. There seems to be more emphasis on bombers than 12 oz. bottles. I seem to see that a lot around these parts though.

Funky. 800 or so beers - all chilled. Take them away or sample standing at the tall wood tables. Lots of folks doing different things. Parking sucks. The place is great. Got lots of chat from the on staff guy, even though he was pretty busy. Well worth a side trip.

Really compliments the Port next door. Amazing selection, many of which i did not see on my trip to other famous bottle shops around SD. Crack a beer? hell yeah! Buy one to drink or bring something to share - this has a great atmosphere. About as good as it gets, making the Pizza Port Carlsbad and bottle shop one two combo a true mike tysonesque knockout.

Really relaxed look and feel like you are hanging in somebodyís garage, but not relaxed when it comes to selection. So many beers that I have simply not seen anywhere else in the US. Especially Scandinavian and Belgians. Great spot and can drink your bottles in the store.
