Great spot. Met up with Travlr and GenDV138 for pizza and beer (duh). Everything is done well here. Interesting beers on tap, cask and an extensive bottle list. Service from the bartender was excellent. The pizza was freshly made and the flavours reflected that. It is a tight space here so try and nab a seat at the bar during after work hours.

2015-03-04. The decor is bright and cheery, with lots of tile and a Mediterranean feel that could feel kitschy if it wasnít so earnest. It was about half full when we arrived for a late lunch. Service was friendly and efficient, we didnít really test their beer knowledge. Mabel and I shared a large pizza which was about the right about of food for me. The pizza was very good, though the toppings impressed me more than the crust. (That said the crust was not overly burnt/crispy like another "authentic" pizza place I went to in Toronto recently.) The tap list had a decent variety of styles available. We ordered a flight of 4 beers, only one of which I had even heard of before and all were decent. Pricing was "DC reasonable" - e.g. not cheap but not outrageous for draft. The bottle list was impressive but unlike the draft list the most interesting bottles felt a bit overpriced at $25-40. We might have opted for some bottles if we had other beer geeks with us sharing but we were there with our non-beer drinking family and decided to stick with the draft options. Overall I enjoyed it and itís definitely worth a visit with good food and good beer but Iím not sure I would make it a priority as an out of town visitor if you donít plan to eat.

rather big place with a bar on the right side, and a dining area on the left and in the back . Service was very friendly, but sometimes a bit too much ( as in pushy , wanting to speed things up too much ) . They were capable of serving me the bottled beer perfectly , a basic thing iím missing in most beerplaces , but to find it in a pizzeria is pretty darn cool . Prices are ok , to the high side but nothing extreme . Food was amazing . Unbelievable good pizza . Might not be the best beerplace in town, but food-wise this is a MUST visit to me . Beermenu was nice , but again nothing extreme . Youll find way more than youíre used to in a pizzeria though , with many great craftbeers .

When I visited: Late September 2014.
What I had: Draft pint of Monocacy Humulus Lupulus Rex and an Insalata Paradiso for me, glass of sauvignon blanc and an Insalata Romana for my partner, Bosco Pizza to split.
What I liked: Casual, low-key atmosphere at lunch time, no trouble finding seats, had a nice view of the kitchen and wood oven from our table, scrumptious pizza that lives up to the hype, efficient service, solid bottle list, Iíll always remember this place since I proposed to my fiancť (girlfriend at the time) right after our meal.
What I disliked: Tap lineup wasnít nearly as good as I expected on our visit, waiter was quick to bring everything to the table but not all that friendly, with such a small bar and a clear focus on food I couldnít see myself coming here just to drink. That said, we enjoyed our experience here.
Would I go back? Most likely.

A family-friendly pizza restaurant just west of Dupont Circle. Just like the Georgetown location, thereís a very strong selection of beers available. In fact, about half of the people there during our Friday night visit seemed to be there to drink. The 15ish taps seemed to focus on stuff from outside of the US (Kiuchi, Trou du Diable) The bottle list is pretty large and impressive. I settled on a not inexpensive bottle of Tilquin Gueuze Squared and really enjoyed it. Service was great, prices were generally decent. I didnít eat, but Iíve tried the food at the other branch and can vouch for its quality. Overall, a great option if youíre looking to eat and drink at the same location. Recommended.

A cool place. Busy, but great fast service. Way too dark outside for me. Anyway, the pizza is small and expensive but worth it. A superb bottle list, and good drafts. Worth it just for the beer. Damn nice place.

Only been here around two times but have had a good experience on both visits. Small-ish bar area plus dining tables. Smaller beer list compared to other places though they have a nice bottle list. All the drafts have always been nicely selected. Flight of four 4 ounce taster pours for $12, not bad for the area. Pizzas are tasty and come in 8" and 12" sizes. Have only visited after lunchtime so I donít know how busy it gets before/after. Good service, friendly bartenders.

Great place in DC, especially with the mixed tasters. Smaller selection of taps than Churchkey, but always good stuff. Friendly atmosphere, and I like this one a little more than the Georgetown location. Definitely a must if in the area.
