Had a solid number of interesting drafts as well as a really impressive bottle selection. I didn’t try the food.

Great pizza, very good beer selection. Usual Georgetown accessibility/prices/clientele gripes.

Stopped in for an early dinner after wandering around Georgetown with friends and family. Decent tap selection, good pizza, very nice bottle list and service that was fairly good. Although not a place I would necessarily go to just for the beer, or just for the pizza, the two together make it a pretty good place for some food and a pint or two.

We finished our day in Georgetown here and had some very good pizza, but were a bit let down, having been led to anticipate one of the very best in the United States. It was not quite up there although still tasty. We were there in early July and for those familiar with DC weather, it was terribly hot and humid out there. They had an IPA takeover even on their tap list and frankly, it felt as if even IPAs were not drinkable enough on that day. There were a few good ones, but I was not overly impressed, certainly not to the point where this place feels like a mandatory DC top 5 spot, yet it is, but perhaps more thanks to its bottle list which is indeed a sight. Plenty of rarities in there, including many rare farmhouse ales, but the most exclusive of which are accompanied by consequent price tags. Very family-friendly though and that would be a plus if we’d been the whole family, but not necessarily beer geek heaven.

Dropped in for lunch with my wife and todder son a few weeks back. Very good pizza in an airy, friendly layout. Good looking beer selection both on tap and in bottles. I enjoyed a local IPA. Prices were fair. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area and family friendly as well.

Very nice - main floor is the restaurant and the basement is more of a bar atmosphere, but both have basically the same taplist. Bottle list is pretty impressive, and prices are mostly pretty darn good - 40$ for any of four or five Cantillon 750s, for example. Basement ambiance is that nice dark musty feel, but with modern touches here and there. The beer monger (Greg) is a very cool guy and really knows his stuff.

Stopped by here to kill an hour in Georgetown on a Tuesday afternoon so it was pretty quiet. Nice varied selection of taps with an good selection of bottles. Many of them are quite expensive though. Service was on the mark.

A cozy bar in Georgetown, located downstairs in Pizzeria Paradiso. Try to get there before the throng and get the comfortable seats near the fireplace. There is pretty limited seating capacity and it can fill up pretty quickly. The quality of service fluctuates, but mostly it has been very good. Birreria Paradiso often acquires some rare and incredible beers on tap. Their drafts have a high turnover rate, making it optimal for repeat visits. Happy hour is Tuesday and Wednesday from 5-7, where drafts are half price. They offer beer flights of 3 or 4 beers from the draft menu, enabling an appreciator to taste the gamut of what’s on tap, should he/she so desire. The food is decent, but not awesome. This place is about beer. I highly recommend it. It’s easily one of the best beer establishments in the greater D.C. area.
