Surprisingly large location. Restaurant area in the main room with the bar off to the left and a separate bar area with some tables. They had 10 beers on during our visit, most of which were not good at all. The lone standout was the vanilla stout. Service was reasonable considering there was only one bartender and a decent number of patrons.

Stopped here after visiting the Marshall gold rush state park. This brewpub is a gold nugget of its own. Decent stout, ok porter, the vanilla stout was too vanilla-ly. Had the delicious BBQ tip dinner with garlic mashed potatoes and the most outstanding dinner salad (it was almost like a cobb salad) for only a $1 upgrade. This place really filled up with older families having dinner after 5 PM, even on a Wednesday in the spring it was pretty full. Certainly worth a visit.

If I was in the area again, Iíd probably stop in. Overall beers and food were just ok. Definitely a local crowd which is great when you are the local.

Well stopped in after going on a roadtrip. My grandma used to live in Placerville and hadnít been in 10 years and wasnít into beer back then. The place is pretty cool with a nice outdoor patio. The food was really good. Got the Turkey sandwich with cranberry cream cheese. The home made chips and salsa with flour and corn chips were awesome. The beer unfortunately was just subpar in my honest opinion. Out of 9 samplers I didnít have anything that stood out along with anything worth spending $20 on a new growler for. All the beers had a lingering bitterness regardless of the style and were just bland.

Several miles from the Old Hangtown area. Good amount of parking. Atmosphere is pretty modern. Layout is good. Food was very good. Beer is certainly good quality. Service was understaffed but waitress worked quickly to fill the gap. Interesting to watch.

Nice little brewery. Inside is pretty small, but they have a patio as well. I got the beer sampler with 9 different beers, all were pretty good. Food was really good as well. Service was a little slow but good and very friendly. Overall a nice place worth checking out.

This is a quaint bar and restaurant on the edge of Placerville. There is a nice bar with about a dozen stools and a TV, as well as table seating for 30 or so patrons. There were 10 beers on tap, covering a fairly wide range including barrel-aged. The food menu is quite extensive for a brewpub, and my sausage sandwich was good. The barkeep was friendly and helpful.

Parking is horrible, good luck. Itís a good thing this place was redone, before when it was Hangtown the place just looked like a rundown old bar. Now the place is quite nice and usually full. Really good food, and interesting beer styles to try(Boysenberry,Tagerine, Vanilla). Directly across the street from Raleys, not far from US-50 I try to stop whenever passing through to at least get a growler.
