The place is a huge halll with heavy wooden tables and brick walls. The beer selection focuses mainly on their own brews. Food is heavy and quite German oriented eg. few vegetables and lots of meat. Service is usually good but can be painfully slow if the place is busy. Worth visiting if you happen ot be in Tampere.

Really nice place. Serving own beers, good selection of them. Food is good and portions are big. But most of all i like the ambiance.

Nice place to drink the local beers, sometimes it is difficult to order a 25 cl from draft, they like to serve in 33 cl or 50 cl. I only want to taste the beers, not to get drunk. Food was good but spicey.

German/American-style brew restaurant in Tampere. Probably the #1 place for beer tourists to visit. Straightforward interior, just about every beer from the brewery on tap. A full, very beer-friendly, menu. The service can be slow at times, but friendly. They even warned us once that it might take 1.5 hrs before we’re done. Great place overall.

Just popped in for a quick small one inbetween work stuff. Very nice decor and ambiance, feels like a proper beer house. Nice and friendly staff, knew their own beers. Selection is mostly their own stuff, which is nicely varied. Some visiting brews as well as some bottles. One specialty this time around. Didn’t have time for food, but the dishes that I saw going around looked really good. Definitely worth a visit and will go again with more time and more appetite.

Been there twice. Both visits were very nice and there was enough in situ brewed beers to taste as I just took the set of smaller pints. As far I as I know this is the best beer place Tampere has to offer.

German hall-type restaurant that serves some of the best beers in Finland. The restaurant is quite big and rather cozy. Plevna mainly serve their own beers which are wonderful. Food is quite good but prices are top-end. Location of the restaurant is beautiful being situated in an yearly 20th century industrial environment which is a tourist attraction nowdays. Barmaids are wearing special costumes. There are nicely facts available in the restaurant about their own beers. Last time what was bothering me was that there were no music at all. I do like that the music is not too loud but silence is bit uncomfortable. I also liked the fact that they didn´t have a television. Quite crowded especially during weekends. This is the place to visit in Tampere if your after a good beer.

Good location, good value and somewhat crowded. Excellent menu of food working well with their beers. Mainly locally made ales on tap. Mustn’t miss if in Tampere!

Plevna is a restaurant first and brewery second. Selection of imports is poor, but they have many of their own brews which are scarcely available anywhere else and pretty good. Service is a bit slow but nothing to really complain about. Food and atmosphere are great.
