Next to the Frite-Museum, the entrance is not easy to find.
Better be not too tall!
Ambiance of "cellar-pub".
Wide choice of beers, and don’t hesitate to ask for the temporary selection that is not on the card (viven beers at the time i was there).

By far my favoite bar in Brugge, so good i spent most nights during my stay.
Being in the catacombs of a old church this bar has a great atmosphere, everythign is lit by candle light and old hops drap from the low concaved celiing.
This bar seems "hipper" than other beer bars in brugge as they play alternative and rock music and have a table football table snuggled in the corner, saying that there are also comfey leather sofas to sit back and have a light read while enjoying a great beer. OF which there are many served including some from my favorite brewers struise.
The bar staff are helpful and infomative, and best of all the palce is open till very late in the morning (i think 6am)

Big Place with a scriptural device in a cellar. I get the impression I step into a medieval big tavern. They play modern alternative/rock music (I think always one good album from Belgian or International musicians). And it must be said: the staff is always very kindly!Could not imagine there is a better beer café in Bruges wich I didn’t discover!!

You take the stairs down and enter a sort of medieval cave, with dark atmospheric lights and good, alternative music on the background, not too loud, not too silent. You have a rather large range of different types of beers on the card, either you want to taste fruit beers, gueze, trappist or just a beer of ’the little selection’: going from light beers to some of the strongest Belgian ales. The service is excellent: they are always very friendly and they know which beers to recommend. Also the beer is served beautifully in proper glasses (and most of all the glass matches with the beer you chose). This is one of the best places in Bruges, if not the best (in Belgium?) to go away, if not because of the friendly service, than for the fantastic atmosphere or the wide range of beers you have!

You enter a spacious dark cellar with cosy lights and lovely music in the background. Very popular with young and older people.
They offer a quiet nice range of beers (I thougt about 100-150 beers) and the beers on the list are one of the best Belgian beers existing. Service is excellent.
I regurlarly visit the place, because of its nice atmosphere, the service and... the beers of course!

I ducked my head as I descended the stairs into the murky depths of Brugge’s seemingly seedy nightlife, only to find the warmest, most ideal place on Earth to sip a beer. I passed quiet folk reading at the dimly lit tables, louder folk gathered around longer tables, and the usual suspects all lined up along the bar. I only wish I’d had more time in the city to spend there.

When you reach the entrance it looks like you have to step in a buildings basement. From inside now is really beautiful place like a medieval celar, carpets on the floor and low lights.Good beer list with some really special Belgians and taps for every kind of belgian beer.Must visit place if you are in Brugge.
