If you are in the area, drop in. But, it is not worth the detour. You will probably find some new cask ales, but not the most hard to find beers. Nice pub and good service. (Visited November 16th 2012)

A decent good-sized Wetherspoon, the usual good value food and stuff plus two or three seating areas with different characters. Well staffed on my visit, too. There’s twelve handpumps, offering real ciders & perries as well as ales. I visited during the beer festival so the selection may not be typical - six guests, three ciders, one perry, and only two regular ales on. Ale quality was good but not excellent.

Close to Tower Bridge. A very large pub but the beer selection is not that impressive. 3-4 casks on when I visited, and the rest f the beers are mostly mainstreambeers.

A typical JDW establishment. Has a large dining area with relatively high ceilings and large windows looking onto streets, making this a pleasant place to stop in for a beer. I visited on a particularly snowy December afternoon, and the Pommelers Ret provided a nice respite. As for selection, standard JDW: eight cask ale taps and a handful of macros. I had two of the Christmas theme beers. Neither beer was that great, and one was a touch offensive. Very metallic. Not sure it is just a bad beer or if it was a handling issue. I didn’t pay very much for the beer so I can’t be too upset. Overall a decent place if you’re in this area.
