Best time to go is Friday at 7 when there is music. Sometimes a food truck will come. Great crowd. Beer is just above average. The Wit, their best seller, is a dinner beer and just not best to dink alone. The pale is average. Drink the IPA!!. Did not taste the Stout.

Dropped in at 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon and the place was mobbed. Amazingly there was still a couple close parking spots. Their tasting room was large enough to accommodate the crowd, but was under appointed -- what, maybe 4 standing tables. They have two bars but it was still a lengthy process to get a drink. I bought a pint, but it appeared like they do samplers as you go, giving you tickets to get the small glasses as you go ... Which gives you a freshly poured beer but makes the bar rail crowded. I enjoy their beers, so glad I could visit once. Not sure I need to back -- you can find their beers easily around town. (Brewery #599)

Located in an industrial area. I only saw limited parking but there may be more elsewhere, and Iím not sure there would be a problem if you parked on the street. Big open, clean, bright tasting room with lots of merchandise for sale. Two bar setups and some tables are scattered around if you want to savor your samples. As of today the sampling is still $7 and you keep the glass. I didnít partake, but they did still give me a couple of partial samples. No tours on Wednesday, so I didnít partake in that. Growler fills were $11.50-$13.50 and they will fill any growler. The lady working was very friendly and well informed enough about the beers that I suspect she is one of the brewers, though I didnít ask. The beers are generally solid to very good. They distribute everything they make widely, so donít expect to find anything new here if youíre a local. Overall, a very nice stop.

Google maps sent us across the street into a no trespassing industrial park. Once we found the place, it was rather crowded with a good mix of beer people and fans of the brewery. You get five circus like tickets to try 4-5oz pours of there beers: the witbier, IPA, scotch ale, porter, stout. Usually there is a seasonal. You can take a brewery tour for additional fee. Service was friendly, beer is decent to disappointing. They sell their six-packs to go here but they get heavy distribution across DC/MD/VA so not sure why youíd need to go here. Ambiance was strange, super clean and sparse 50ís diner look. Bartender dude was very cool to chat with.

Stopped by for a tasting but skipped the bwery tour. Seven bucks for six beers, four ounce pours. Friendly efficient service in a modern and sparse tasting room. Worth a stop if youíre in the area. Beers were OK, and the new stout was very good.

Situated in a commercial strip mall off the main drag in Alexandria Port City is tucked away. Parking is relatively easy; the main thing to remember are the limited hours. Once you get inside the setup is a typical brewery with sale on premises - two coolers along one wall, a growler fill station, and some merchandise.

Sampler flights are $6.00 for five different beers plus a tasting glass which you get to keep. There really isnít much ambiance; this is definitely more of a production facility than a place to hang out. I hope they can make it in the long run as the beers were solid for having just opened in an area not particularly known for excellent craft beers.

Went here on my birthday. Anyway, it is sort of in the middle of nowhere in Alexandria... about 1.5-2 miles off of King Street stop. Once you walk inside you see a sort of sterile and very white room with a little tap corner and a lot of Port City Paraphernalia in there. The place was packed when I was there, and we had to wait a bit to get our tickets, but once we did they immediately poured out some beers for us in little glasses we got to keep. It cost $5 to hang out in there and see the brewery. The owner was a swell guy who made a point of talking to each person in the place. He made a very good impression and was willing to answer any question that anyone might have had. Obviously, there were only four beers there, but we can hope that soon they will start coming out with a few more. The porter is in my opinion the best and my selections from their tap room reflected that.

This brewery makes solid beers. They will have four core beers and will begin brewing seasonals this fall (2011). Parking can be a challenge here, but they are working on a solution; many of the surrounding businesses seem willing to tow at a moments notice, so find a street to park on, and walk a couple blocks if the lot is full. The staff are all pleasant and knowledgeable. This brewer has great potential, and I look forward to increased offerings from them.
