Well itís the future, isnít it. Seriously ballsy beer list at ballsier prices justified solely because they can - wait till craft beers become mainstream in UK bars, hotels and restaurants. The most intelligent beer selection I have come across in the UK to date.

A great multi-story bar with a great selections of cask and keg beers, including Duchesse de Bourgogne which was amazing. Also had a Mikkeller on keg. Extensive craft bottle list with heaps I wanted to try. Bottles are a bit on the pricey side but the range is excellent. Highly recommended.

Nice place set a side the main road(s). Actually easy to walk by... Anyhow got a tiny little beer garden and upstairs more space. A rather eclectic range of selected beers from all over the world. Price wise it is acceptable but only since it is allowed to also split a pint in half and the price splits into exactly half as well, which is not necessarily usual. Not sure if they serve food, I was too occupied studying the beer menu. Beer is kept well and bar staff is friendly. Loads of beer enthusiasts and a like in here. Excellent place!

Great little Bar, good selection of Cask ales, normally small Craft beer breweries and some unusual beers. Even better selection of keg beers and a permanent Brewdog Font, have had Punk, 5am Saint, Hardcore and Hello My Name is Ingrid. Can be expensive for the unusual Keg beers in particular, especially the high ABV types, however they serve third pint glasses, should you wish to have a smaller taste. They also do regular Brewery tasting sessions from some of the UKs finest up and coming Craft beer breweries as well as others further afield. I stay in Manchester on business frequently and normally make this place a must!

Truly fabulous modern place. (Donít expect an old English pub). One of the few places Iíve ever been without a single wasted taphead - no macrolager for the masses, just 16-20 great casks and kegs. And lots of bottles, too. Youngish, kind of hipster crowd, but with a few old-timers to keep it interesting. Highly recommended.

A new bar close to Manchester Picadilly station. Got a chance to visit twice on a recent visit. A range of cask and keg beers to suit all tastes, reasonable prices and regularly changing.

Port Street Beer House truly is one of the best craft beer bars in the UK. Itís spread over a couple of floors and unsurprisingly tends to be rather busy. The place is a mecca to those of a craft beer persuasion. They have a wide selection of both keg and cask beer covering UK microbrews (Summer Wine, Marble, Thornbridge etc) and other great world-wide breweries (Mikkeller, Evil Twin, Stone....). The bottle selection is also extensive and the range reminds me a lot of Cask Pub & Kitchen in London (I imagine they have similar suppliers). Particular highlights include an extensive Drie Fonteinen range and large BrewDog back-catalogue. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable in those things beer-related. A must visit!
