A back street boozer in the town centre serving Hobsons, Greene King and Castle Rock. Not the most imaginative of selections due to Punch Taverns beer list but the pub itself more than makes up for it. A must visit in Wolverhampton town centre.

Old pub near the centre of Wolverhampton, has a slightly cold feel to it, but this is probably due to the walls being lined with tiles. Multi roomed and friendly, there is a good feel to it. You can bring in food from the cafe next door, which is great. The beer range is down to the Punch Taverns list which is ok if unexciting, although Brewdog bottled beers are available. There is to be a re decoration soon which will be done sympathetically.

Been using this old town centre pub for years: changes hands and staff (like most town pubs) a little too often. Always been a Real Ale outpost no matter who’s had it. Lovely front bar with a fantastic bay window, tiled throughout and traditional in every way. Beer quality was good on my last visit (6th Oct 2012): No food, but they are happy for you to bring in sarnies if you want. The young lady fronting it was pleasant, friendly and knew how to pull a pint.

Old fashioned pub with tiled walls. Five cask ales, 1 cask cider. A couple of more hard to get beers included. Service was functional nothing more. May change next time. Had a revisit today. Service was very good so re rated it accordingly.
