70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 15/20 Gription79 (26) Bountiful, Utah | February 12, 2013 A great place to grab a beer and get in some of the best people watching the strip has. You are not going to get anything rare here but they have a solid selection of brews. | 58 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 10/20 BlackHaddock (227) , England | April 3, 2012 Bright open style bar overlooking the casino slots and tables on the floor below. Pour 24 is open, wait for it, 24 hours and has how many pours? Correct, 24!
We sat and people watched as the bar is located on the walkthrough type corridor to the strip and has some interesting places within eye shot. Houdini’s magic shop didn’t produce much fun for us, but the photo stall next door had us enthralled as tourists (like you and me in LV) had head shots taken and then given supermodel bodies or Elvis, Chipperfield, etc, etc. Strangely no one thin wanted a fat body added to their photo, but loads of large ladies wanted slimmer torso’s in skimpy swimwear for their holiday snap. Even stranger was the crushed ice booth that gave huge containers (different shapes) of coloured ice with added alcohol to crowds of people passing through, or replenshing there empty vessels. Hoards of poeple seemed to be carrying these things about, strapped to their shoulders.
Anyway, back to the bar, $7.50 a pint (May 2010), I had three, the wife two: Stone Ruination, DogFishHead 60 Minute, Stone AB, for me, Sin City Amber and Anchor Steam for the good lady. Staff fine, restocking the bottles when we were sat with them, so not a lot of chatting between us, but they didn’t let us go thirsty, or anyone else for that matter.
This is another of these weird LV bars that I’d have walked right past if it wasn’t for my pre-reading before our visit, glad I found it (not that it’s hard to find).
| 46 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 6/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 10/20 mkel07 (17) Brisbane, Australia | February 17, 2012 Open style sports bar on the second level of the casino. Average tap selection. Very loud and noisy, especially the guy at the magic shop cross from the bar. Lacking atmosphere and very poor service. | 58 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 13/20 DuffMan (217) the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta | February 1, 2012 Smack in the middle of the upper pedway in NYNY, the only ambiance offered by this open-air over-sized kiosk is the fancy glowing countertop. Ridiculously expensive, but with a decent selection of craft from across th US. Bartender was a mute! Not sure if could even speak at all. | 68 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 13/20 TheRealMGD (58) Lakewood, Washington | September 12, 2011 I don’t know what to say about the ambiance? You’re sitting essentially in the middle of the casino, with folks strolling by. There is no ’structure’ to define Pour 24. But the selection is interesting, probably the best in LV - which is bizarre to me. Finding Dogfish Head in Vegas was a pleasant surprise! Service is good, prices are high. On future visits, I’ll stop by for the pints, but wouldn’t stay long. | 56 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 5/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 11/20 bigirishphan (4) Peoria Heights, Illinois | August 22, 2011 24 beers and a great bartender. Loved the people watching there. | 58 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 13/20 Sledutah (207) Utah | January 31, 2011 Not much else to add that hasn’t been said about Pour 24. A small bar on the second floor overlooking the casino. Nice tap list of a few local beers and other west coast beers. The bottle list was mostly BMC stuff with a few decent beers mixed in. Also have a full bar. | 62 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 14/20 djd07 (24) Houston, Texas | March 30, 2010 At the top of stairs, this small bar offers a good selection of beers. Expensive but offer refills of the 24 oz for $2 off. Got to try some sin city and alaskan brews and got preety wasted off the 24 oz 60 min. A nice bar to hit up later in the night. | 58 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 3/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 3/10 OVERALL 13/20 j12601 (262) Poughkeepsie, New York | August 29, 2009
First, this place is ridiculously expensive – $7.25 for a draft and $14 for a flight of 4 6oz pours (and depending on your location, that may be the number of new beers you’ll find here), which when you get a $5 sampler of 5 (I’m guessing 4 ounce) pours at Gordon Biersch, seems ridiculous. With that said though, you’re not just paying for the beer, you’re paying for the rather cool and quite gorgeous bar with geode slices through it, underlit so the whole thing glows, and the rest of the atmosphere, and well…Vegas. But, it does seem to be the only place to find anything in the way of craft beer on tap that isn’t a brewpub.
| 64 AMBIANCE 1/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 11/20 BigDUK (10) , England | August 28, 2009 This place is a refreshing change for those sick of the usual poor selection at most bars on the strip. The prices are the same, but the selection and the choice to order a sampler selection make it a great place to try something different. We never stayed long, as its an open plan square bar next to a busy thoroughfare on one side looking across the casino and escalators on two others. The iced tap block looks good but the smooth broken glass bar, harsh lighting, open plan design and friendly hookers mean you won’t be settling down for a session here. Guess that the point in a casino! |
