Overview: I’ve been coming to Pour House for the last ten years. In that time, they went from a locally owned business with a surprising bottle selection to being sold to new ownership. As you can see from the place photo, this store isn’t going to win any beauty contests, and it’s certainly not spacious, but they do have the best selection of imports in the area, and compete well with Whitey’s in terms of domestic selection as well. The last time I was in (last night) I had two workers ask if I needed assistance, which may be a first for me here. When I asked for a certain beer, they stopped short of offering me an alternative when the beer for which I asked was out of stock. I have to wonder why... Selection is probably the best in the area, especially their import selection. They do a pretty nice job of stocking English and German bottles (found Robinson’s Old Tom Ginger last visit, for instance). Their prices on imports are competitive, but their domestic prices on single bottles are on the high side- about a dollar more per single than what I’d pay in Louisville. This makes a domestic mixed sixer a pricey enterprise. PROS: Strong import selection; improved service. CONS: Pricey domestic singles; some bottles seemed pretty old. OVERALL: Not an out of the way destination, but worth a stop if you’re in the area and want some imports that might not make it to your area. If you’re wanting local/regional beer, I’d stop by Whitey’s in Lawrenceburg first.

This place is great! Doesn’t look like anything special from the outside but they have a surprisingly nice selection. Service has always been fantastic; everyone has always been very helpful. As a Cincinnati resident, they have consistently had the best Three Floyd’s selection I’ve come across. A good amount of Tyranena and plenty of others worth checking out. Have always been very pleased with this establishment.

Went there today. The person working there was very helpful. Had a decent selection of 3 Floyds beers. Also picked up a 6 pack of Bells Hopslam. Prices were very reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised with their selection. I just wish it was a bit closer to where I live.

The best selection in the locale. If your looking for a descent selection around the Aurora/Lawrenceburg area, then this is the place to go. They are the closest store that has a pretty good selection of 3Floyds, but also carry some Stone, Tyranena, Bell’s, Heavy Seas, Left Hand, and a few others. I just put a request in for Stone 16th Anniversary when it is released.

I heard about this place on Rate Beer. It seems to be the closest place to Cincinnati that carries 3 Floyds. They do not always have their entire line, but the few times I have been there, the Pour House has had a pretty good selection.

I found out about this place from their advertisement and coupon in a local coupon circular and decided to check it out during a road trip today (Columbus Day 2006)... The Pour House Bottle Shop is a liquor, beer, and wine store. They have a pretty decent selection of bottled beer above and beyond the usual macro and micro stuff. Some imports, seasonals, and rarities including 3F Dreadnaught. I managed to snag the last Stone Vertical Epic 04.04.04! What a find that was and made the trip completely worth it! They have lots of 4-pack and 6-packs both on the shelf and in the coolers. They also have many of the beers by the single bottle in the cooler. Also, if there is something they have that’s not singled out, just ask and they will be more than happy to sell one bottle at a time!
