Just what Port Townsend needed. A nice taproom/bottle-shop in a scenic location, with great space. 12 taps, with one being reserved for good cider. Just the right number, in my opinion, to provide a nice variety but also ensure a timely turnover for new goodies. It is good to see some of these breweries accessible on the peninsula for the first time. They gladly offer 5oz, 10oz, and 16oz pours at solid prices. Nice 5-6 door, dark, cooler with various sized bottles and cans, both to-go or for on-site consumption. Bottles are WA centric, but there is also a good variety from other places like OR, MT, and CO, etc. They also serve up some respectable regional wines by the bottle or glass. Located right on the water, thankfully tucked just far enough away from the often busy and touristy downtown area. Nice long bar, an ample number of tables, and plenty more outside by the water. There are a couple cozy nooks embedded into the far wall. One is a full-size dinner table and chairs, and the other has comfy furniture and end tables. Looks like a perfect place to settle in and play some of the board games on the shelves. Tons of cool photos of the town’s beer/saloon scene from days past. The beer garden is where this place will shine in the warmer months. Great views of the water/mountains, plans for a small stage for live music, bocce ball court, stone ping pong table, and a lot of space to breathe, etc. They provide small snacks like pretzels, chips, and peanuts; but do not offer food in-house. They encourage you to bring food in yourself or from the myriad surrounding establishments, many of which will deliver to the location. They have both the space and the interest to allow independent food-carts to set up in their beer garden in the future. Really glad to see such a nice place in the general area. They certainly have my support whenever I’m in the area. I wish them the absolute best, and am interested to see how it continues to evolve. Definitely swing by if you happen to be in town.
