78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 JorgeLee (71) , England | May 11, 2013 Nice small pub overlooking the river. Tasty food. Decent beer selection. Friendly staff. Those happy hours sound awesome, must be a good place to be a local. | 80 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 17/20 steeleliver (4) Minnesota | June 1, 2012 Rating Pracna is a bit hard, as it isn’t your standard bar. The food is quite expensive ("gourmet") as are appetizers, but the beer can run from average to cheap (Happy Hour 9-11, $3 taps) to free (special events via twitter). The beer list is good, but not extensive, although the staff is great. The location is great, right on Main street overlooking the river and donwtown. I would recommend for drinking, and maybe for diner every once and a while. | 82 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 17/20 BVery (323) Burnsville, Minnesota | July 11, 2011 One of my favorite beer bars. Extremely knowledgable and friendly staff, good beers available + happy hours and beer events. Awesome atmosphere with a view of the river and downtown Mpls. Food is fine - not really bar food. | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 mtjoseph (10) Murderapolis, Minnesota | March 6, 2011 A very small bar, with a very large patio in the summer, Pracna boasts one of the best late night happy hours. All of their American crafts are only $3 a pint! You can’t ask for anything better than to sit on the Mississippi river and sip $3 crafts. The two ladies who run the bar a super nice, and love to talk beer without being condescending. They’re just fellow beer lovers who do what they can. Well done! | 86 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 mattyb83 (19) Minnesota | March 6, 2011 The patio here makes this place a must visit during the summer. Overlooks the river and downtown minneapolis. Beer selection is great, and their happy hour deals are phenomenal. Possibly the friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered. Food is good, but more expensive than many other places. Not really bar food, though. Great place to have a couple of beers before seeing a film, or to take a lady on a date for drinks and a meal of food. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 JK (206) Uptown, Minneapolis, Minnesota | February 18, 2009 I agree with pretty much everything Tyler said. Nice, classy interior on a good spot overlooking the river, close to downtown and the U. They do have a great happy hour. I have never eaten but the food looks good. | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 17/20 tyler_mn (67) SLP, Minnesota | November 21, 2008 More of a restaurant than a bar, but for a limited 20 taps, this place is always a winner. The location is excellent. Located in the St. Anthony Main district of Southeast Minneapolis. A most excellent patio out front in the summer provides a beautiful view of the Mississippi waterfront and downtown Minneapolis. Food is very good, if a tad overpriced. On a recent visit, I counted 20 taps with only two macros: Lite and Stella. Other offerings included Surly Darkness, Two Brother Cane & Ebel, Duchesse, Furthermore Oscura and plenty others. Taps rotate on an ever changing basis. Proper glassware abounds and the bartending service is very willing to talk about beer. The weekday late night happy hour can’t be beat: $3 pints of non-specialty domestics... which includes such beers as Hopslam! Prices are right on par with the rest of the city. Overall, a quiet inside on a cold winter night and a lively patio on a warm summer evening. A diamond in the rough in the ever expanding metro craft beer scene. |
