Nice place, some shadows during the summer but very small beer selection. Need to visit the place at least once a year for the atmosphere.

Benches and tables among the trees. Only 2 house beers, but great venue.

Large biergarten in Kastanienallee. Pleasant place mostly in the shadow of large trees. The selection is not much to speak of but both Prater beers were decent enough. Worth a visit if one happens to be in the area, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to get here.

Lot of tables in the biergarten. There are two separated areas with one kind of food each. The problem is the poor selection.

Huge beer garden with lots of tables. I imagine the atmosphere is amazing on a warm summer day. Unfortunately I visited on a cool October evening, so there weren’t many patrons at the time. Still a nice relaxing ambiance. Only a few beers available with 2 being Prater beers. Prices were average. A nice place to visit for the atmosphere but not the beer.

Nice to hang out with friends. They have some brews of their own.

Great place to sit and enjoy the weather. Good ambiance. We also have dinner in the restaurant, we head a very nice wiener schnitzel. Best one a had in Berlin! Crowded but gemutlich! Can recommend the place!

Visited december 2012. Large city pub, I think it formerly was a teater. Lots and lots of tables, but even though it more or less is one huge room, it still is cosy in it´s own way. Friendly and serviceminded staff, beers in good condition and the food was great and well served. Huge garden outside, and I wouldn´t mind going back in the summertime to revisit this place :-)

The beers are nothing special (to put it mildly), but the ambiance itself worths. You should go there just to enjoy the hundreds of people enjoying food and beer under the sun. Food looks simply great

This place is the manifestation of a German bier garten, even if you’re here during winter and the garden is closed. I’d say it’s worth a visit even if you don’t drink alcohol or eat meat just to have a look at nearly 200 years of history. They’ve got two different kinds of home brew, Weihenstaphaner times three, as well as red and green Berliner Weisse, and amazing food at an incredible value.
