Another good brewery. Nice & simple - just light and dark, but very good ones.

Located not that far from Old Town Square. Beers are average to poor. Service is ok. Quite empty during my visit. Not much charm. Like a tourist trap without tourists. Or locals...

Stumbled in to this with Shaun and my parents. I can’t believe it never registered with me before. Beer brewed onsite in the sizeable basement. Almost nobody in the place. They have 2 beers. A dark and a light. They also sell impossibly expensive Italian Strong ales. Rocket fuel. They also sell a range of Faberge eggs. No jokes. This is a strange place. Not neccessarily in a good way. Stop by though eh? It’s right in the centre on a side street within 500 metres of Charles Bridge.

This review is from March 2009. Stumbled across this brew-pub as we were walking towards Bethlehem Church and thought we’d pop in for one. Five beers and two plates of food later we staggered out back into the fading daylight. Open early 2009 this Russian funded place is a real find. The ground floor is decked out like a medeival hall, subdued lighting, high backed wooden chairs and solid tables. Below, the cellar bar and area has the brewing equipment in full view. It is like stepping into a castle down there, very impressive (but empty on the March Sunday afternoon we visited). Two of their own beers, a light and dark lager. These were very sour, not sure they should have been, but we enjoyed them. There was also a light lager on tap from Březňák and two from Rohozec, a light and dark lager. These beers are not common in Prague, so get down here if in town. The bottled beers all seemed to come from Březňák apart from one of their own. The food was good, hearty and reasonable. My wife had some Potato pancakes with sauerkrat, I had a cheese platter, both plates went back cleaned to the pattern. Worth finding, well off the tourist routes but close to everything you’ll want to see while in Prague.

More a restaurant than a pub. Nearly empty a late evening, quiet and calm atmosphere. I almost felt like dating my wife here.... We did not stay long. Average beer. (Visited 24th February 2012)

Big deception. Place was empty on a saturday night...I was serve a tmavé that was actually a polotmavé according to czech standards. The Rohozec svetly I was served was disgusting because not fresh or infected. Food was very average: the grilled duck skin was rather limp than crispy. Sad because I heard good things about this place. I just hope for them that I came on a bad day. It can happen.
