Pretty good beer selection at pretty average prices. I got all three Rochefort Trappistes and there are lots of other beers that are pretty hard to find, as well as some beer that you can only find locally. Lots of other stuff in the store... cheese and other weird stuff. If youíre into that kinda stuff this place would be heaven.

Iím not a gigantic beer hunter like some of you but this place is great for me. Real selection and some rarities. Things like trappists can be yowch! pricey but then you have great USA micros from Victory Brooklyn and Great Lakes averaging around two bucks - NICE. Also saw a few CASES of Dogfish Head WWS there at one time (2005?) and was not savvy enough to grab a bunch of those at 8.99 a pop. You have a lot of options in trade for WWS I gather. Yeah many prices show they know what we HAVE to buy, but to exploit this in the first place they did have to know what the good stuff IS - besides which there are very good budget options for the thrifty spender. Shoot, you donít like paying 30-40 bucks for Cantillon, then please donít ever get into wine!

Been here a couple times in the past year and am impressed each time. A seemingly big old dirty store with its harsh white walls and lights, thereís more here than meets the eye -- many beer treasures live on huge shelves in the back corner, organized according to country. Factor in these hundreds of bottles of imports and North American treats, all the meats and cheeses and teas you have to walk by to get to the beer, and the cavernous wine store next door, and youíve got a bunch of envious Canadians drooling across the border. Service is usually indifferent, but whatever: this place should definitely be on your list if youíre in town.

Stopped in on my way back from Boston, got a little confused while wandering around the Wine and Spirits shop wondering where the beer section was. Eventually founded it, and boy was it worth it. PANNEPOT!!!! Horray, also the Nogne O line, and Olfabrikken Porter were nice to see as well. Nice selection of other imports, and the domestic micros were also out in full force. Singles and full sixers available. I was quite pleased. Wish I had some more time to check the food selection out a bit, but I was kind of in a hurry. Iím going back next time through Buffalo.

Almost all my rating goes to simple selection. As a Toronto boy Iím restricted to what the Government wants me to have, so being told about this stop about 90 minutes away was a Godsend. Tremendous selection, I could have spent all the money I own, but had to show some discretion. Outside the terrific beer selection youíll find great gourmet market fare like sauces, spices, deli meats, and even paraphenalia for the kitchen. A liquor store attached offers a great selection of wine, liquor, and spirits. Great stop.

Donít be a dumbass like me and walk into the wine store, thereís no beer there. Walk into the Deli and go all the way back. I was expecting a bigger selection, but what they do have is good. You can get singles and they carry lots of regional beers. Belgian selection was respectable also. I was able to pick up some Southern Tier Java, Middle Ages, Lost Cost, etc. Definitely worth a visit. Plus the store is cool. Lots of cheese, sauces, gourmet cookware and ingredients. Since I donít live in Buffalo, it was all about the beer for me!

Large gourmet food/kitchenware retailer that happens to carry some great beer. Selection was varying, some hard to find Belgians, but no real vintage section to speak of. Standard micro selection with a great western NY representation, growlers of Flying Bison, along with an array of Southern Tier products. Decent amount of UK/European offerings as well. Great cheese selection, hot sauce selection was so-so, but who can complain...

The selection seemed picked over. There were some interesting items, but nothing really blew my doors off. Their prices were fair. There seemed to be no one wathcing over the beer area. Unlike the other areas, where employees were tripping over themselves to help you, there really was no service.
It was a nice place, more for the food and kitchen items than for the beer. The beer selection was bigger than usual, with a good (not great) selections of Belgians and micros. If my rating seems low this is a beer site first, right?
