Almost all my rating goes to simple selection. As a Toronto boy Iím restricted to what the Government wants me to have, so being told about this stop about 90 minutes away was a Godsend. Tremendous selection, I could have spent all the money I own, but had to show some discretion. Outside the terrific beer selection youíll find great gourmet market fare like sauces, spices, deli meats, and even paraphenalia for the kitchen. A liquor store attached offers a great selection of wine, liquor, and spirits. Great stop.

Donít be a dumbass like me and walk into the wine store, thereís no beer there. Walk into the Deli and go all the way back. I was expecting a bigger selection, but what they do have is good. You can get singles and they carry lots of regional beers. Belgian selection was respectable also. I was able to pick up some Southern Tier Java, Middle Ages, Lost Cost, etc. Definitely worth a visit. Plus the store is cool. Lots of cheese, sauces, gourmet cookware and ingredients. Since I donít live in Buffalo, it was all about the beer for me!

Large gourmet food/kitchenware retailer that happens to carry some great beer. Selection was varying, some hard to find Belgians, but no real vintage section to speak of. Standard micro selection with a great western NY representation, growlers of Flying Bison, along with an array of Southern Tier products. Decent amount of UK/European offerings as well. Great cheese selection, hot sauce selection was so-so, but who can complain...

The selection seemed picked over. There were some interesting items, but nothing really blew my doors off. Their prices were fair. There seemed to be no one wathcing over the beer area. Unlike the other areas, where employees were tripping over themselves to help you, there really was no service.
It was a nice place, more for the food and kitchen items than for the beer. The beer selection was bigger than usual, with a good (not great) selections of Belgians and micros. If my rating seems low this is a beer site first, right?

I was in heaven as soon as I walked in. First I check out premier liquors, a huge warehouse sized liquor and wine store. Then found premier gourmet next door. First, the selection of fine food. Mustards, hot sauces, cheeses, meats, coffee, tea, juices, crackers...and then I found the beer corner. The selection was incredible, belgians, dunkels, stouts, tons of stuff not available to me in Pittsburgh, and the prices were the best iíve ever seen. The staff was very knowledgable and super friendly. I only wish a store like this was in Pittsburgh.

Premier Gourmet is a brilliant bottle store: great selection with lots of interesting, sometimes hard- to-find Belgian, English and U.S. micro beers. The service is excellent, and the salespeople, especially "the beer guys," know beer. However, Premier Gourmet is more than just a beer store. It is also a gourmet food store that has a capricious array of cheeses, coffee, hot sauces, meats, mustards, pastries, spices, and so much more. Next to the food and beer store (separate but in the same building) is Premier Liquor, a warehouse-size store that has an impressive selection of wines & liquors. All-in-all, a fantastic experience. I could literally spend a day in this store. Now, if Buffalo can support such a place, why can’t Toronto?

Well, I went back today and finally found the beer section. I canít believe I didnít speak up last time I was there. Amazing Belgian selections. Some Iíve never seen before. Very reasonably priced. In addition to the Belgians, they have an assortment of other fantastic beers. Highly recommended and will go back again.

Located in a somewhat desolate area, or so it seemed...beer is tucked away in the back of the store. Lots of selection! Good country and state representation. Lots of good belgians including Cantillon and Fantome - unfortunately they didnít have any Westvleteren when I was there. The prices were decent though I have seen better in the USA. I could have easily bought four or five times as much as I had but unfortunately I had to restrain myself due to customs. I didnít buy any food but it looked like there was a good selection of quality meats and cheeses.

In a word, selection. Organized by Country or State are a half dozen aisles. Buying a bottle rather than a six-pack make it great for sampling. Gaining a profile for Canadians travelling through the USA from Niagra Falls/Toronto as its near the border. European selection.
Update summer 2012: New store, more stock, easier to traverse the aisles, 20 taps of the latest coming into town.
