Das kleine Biermuseum lockt die Kundschaft. Am besten draußen auf dem vertäuten Kahn Rast machen, der bewegt sich permanent auch ohne Alkohol...8 Biere vom Faß, allerdings alles Altbekannte, wenn auch Leckere Grimbergen etc. Von der Karte in etwa dreimal mehr. Die Bedienung machte allerdings einen mehr als gemütlichen Eindruck und kam einfach nicht nach...In Alkmaar dennoch eine Probe wert!

Nice place in the middle of Alkmaar. Selection is good, but I couldn’t find a lot of things I hadn’t had before, the taps are regular specialty beer, nothing really local. Nice wood next to the water, underneath a beer museum that is small but worth a visit.

Nice and cosy pub. Good service. Selection is ok, not a lot of special stuff, but they put effort in describing the beers on the menu. Good atmosphere. There seems to be a small beermuseum attached to it, but it was closed when I visited.

A nice little proeflokaal in the basement of the Nationaal Biermuseum de Boom. After a short trip through the museum, sit in the sun on the canal boat patio. They have a decent selection of some of the staples and a few guest taps.

A nice and cosy beerpub in Alkmaar. The quality depends on who’s behind the bar: some of the employees are friendly but no beer experts, others know a lot about special beers and serve them very well. De Boom is not just a beer pub, it is an excellent place to spot locals too. They tend to have some extra specials on bottle if you ask for it.
