When I visited: Late May 2013. What I had: Hopfenstark Greg American Foreign Harvest Stout, Hill Farmstead What Is Enlightenment?, Schlitz Gusto Classic 1960s Formula, and Lawsonís Finest Liquids Chinookeríd IPA on tap, Chopped Pork BBQ plate with collard greens and maple baked beans, Pit Smoked Chicken plate and multiple glasses of Evolucio Furmint for my better half. What I liked: Redwood walls, dark ambiance, and candle-lit tables give the bar a cozy, cabin-like atmosphere, incredible draught list with many of Vermontís best beers on offer, top notch barbecue (perfectly seasoned, huge smoke flavour, delicious sides), ample space between tables provides plenty of privacy, waiter and bartender were engaging, efficient, and made great recommendations, well laid-out beer menu, gorgeous, towering bar, cool t-shirts (I bought the charcoal grey one), even the patrons were friendly. What I disliked: Nothing. Would I go back? Without question. We had a very memorable experience here and will return any time we find ourselves in Vermont. I wish I could transplant this place to Toronto. Overall Rating: 100

Nice ambiance, very relaxed and enjoyable. Good amount of seating for a small place. Service is friendly and prompt. Tons of world-class beers on tap at reasonable prices for half and full pours. Food is excellent, but is expensive for what it is. Still, itís worth the money. Awesome place.

Great beers on tap, though all of the ones most people would come for were tapped out when I visited on a Sunday such as the HFs etc. The food is very good but very expensive. I had the brisket and it was amazing but small and didnít include and sides. Service was so-so, kind of like the big commercial restaurant vibe. Still, Iíd give the place another try if I was in the area, though Iíd hit Black Back first.

Heady on draft, half and full pours, a couple HF and a bunch of other local beers. This place is worth coming to drink. Our server was a bit slow and lost our food for an hour, but the food was great albeit with small portions. My fav spot in Waterbury.

Amazing place. Cool pub atmosphere. Very attractive. The service was attentive and friendly. There was a great selection of craft beers, including locals. The food? Duck fat fries! Plus other things that were amazing! Very reasonable prices as well. Beer is served in either half pints or full pints. Great place!

All I have to say is DUCK FAT FRIES!! Ok in all honesty the place is beautiful. The smell of BBQ when you walk in will have you ordering food even if your not hungry. Amazing beers on tap. Prices for food and drinks were a little pricy, but worth every penny. The duck fat fries were seriously the most delicious french fries I've ever had! Service was ok, but was really busy the night I stopped in so I won't hold it against our bartender. This place is a must if your in the area!

Stopped here for lunch the day after the 4th of July. We came here just before noon, after stopping and getting our allotment from Alchemist Brewery and were able to beat the lunch crowd. We picked a booth that was not far from the window and still could see the bar (there is a wall divider that blocks the view somewhat). The bar really stands out as it is quite grand. Really nice feel to the place. They had a fairly good draft selection. I had my first Heady Topper from tap and also had a small glass of an imperial stout that I canít recall what it was. Both were excellent and prices fair. I had a barbecue sandwich which was stacked high with succulent meat. Very good, especially for a place outside of Texas. Overall, this was a great place for eating and drinking and will definitely recommend it as well as come back here when I return to Vermont.

Really solid tap selection, but the bar was pretty packed. It seems like this is really popular for bbq, but the food did nothing for me. Iím not chomping to go back, but the beer selection is really good, so Iíd be happy.
