Great beers on tap, though all of the ones most people would come for were tapped out when I visited on a Sunday such as the HFs etc. The food is very good but very expensive. I had the brisket and it was amazing but small and didn’t include and sides. Service was so-so, kind of like the big commercial restaurant vibe. Still, I’d give the place another try if I was in the area, though I’d hit Black Back first.

Great food prices are good, beer selection is great but a bit pricy.

Heady on draft, half and full pours, a couple HF and a bunch of other local beers. This place is worth coming to drink. Our server was a bit slow and lost our food for an hour, but the food was great albeit with small portions. My fav spot in Waterbury.

Amazing place. Cool pub atmosphere. Very attractive. The service was attentive and friendly. There was a great selection of craft beers, including locals. The food? Duck fat fries! Plus other things that were amazing! Very reasonable prices as well. Beer is served in either half pints or full pints. Great place!

All I have to say is DUCK FAT FRIES!! Ok in all honesty the place is beautiful. The smell of BBQ when you walk in will have you ordering food even if your not hungry. Amazing beers on tap. Prices for food and drinks were a little pricy, but worth every penny. The duck fat fries were seriously the most delicious french fries I've ever had! Service was ok, but was really busy the night I stopped in so I won't hold it against our bartender. This place is a must if your in the area!

Stopped here for lunch the day after the 4th of July. We came here just before noon, after stopping and getting our allotment from Alchemist Brewery and were able to beat the lunch crowd. We picked a booth that was not far from the window and still could see the bar (there is a wall divider that blocks the view somewhat). The bar really stands out as it is quite grand. Really nice feel to the place. They had a fairly good draft selection. I had my first Heady Topper from tap and also had a small glass of an imperial stout that I can’t recall what it was. Both were excellent and prices fair. I had a barbecue sandwich which was stacked high with succulent meat. Very good, especially for a place outside of Texas. Overall, this was a great place for eating and drinking and will definitely recommend it as well as come back here when I return to Vermont.

Really solid tap selection, but the bar was pretty packed. It seems like this is really popular for bbq, but the food did nothing for me. I’m not chomping to go back, but the beer selection is really good, so I’d be happy.

Nice pub atmosphere. Lots of local VT brews on the taps from the likes of Lawson’s Finest, Hill Farmstead, and others. Drafts are available in 1/2 and full pints. Service was friendly and effficient amd the food was excellent. Get the duck fat fries!

I have visited a few times since the reopening of the late Alchemist (RIP) and the feel and crowd mostly remained the same which is very fortunate. They refocused on grilled foods and are being rather succesful at that albeit I was never as impressed as I was led to expect being with the food. My best plate ever was one with grilled shrimps that was a one-off I’ve never encountered again and all the rest pales in comparison. Service is always very helpful despite the immense popularity of the place and frequent waiting lines. The tap selection is not even the largest in town, but almost every time I visit, I feel like drinking 50%+ of what’s on offer which means that the quality level is very high indeed. Prices are also rather high though with serving sizes being especially small and not always with appropriate glasswares here, leading to pricey beers for Vermont. I’ve never even had to browse at the bottle list. Top notch spot, but my heart belongs to the BlackBack and as soon as I’m done with my plate, for all the great selection available at Prohibition Pig, that’s where I want to head to finish the evening.
