70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 3/10 OVERALL 12/20 Caytinator (63) Tucson, Arizona | May 10, 2013 Chill spot at the Venetian Casino, away from the murderous ringing of slot machines. It has a surprisingly authentic feel, not too disney or airport-y. The bartenders were nice and had a cursory knowledge of their beer. OK number of taps, with some good seasonal rotation. The selection in bottles is very good as well if you’re willing to pay. The value isn’t good. I know Vegas is expensive but I’m not into paying $12 for 10oz of draft beer. There’s no beer less than $7 on the menu. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 csaso (126) Missouri | March 9, 2013 Stayed at the Venetian last week, and went to this place pretty much every night. Great slection of beers on tap and bottles. Decent price for Vegas. Food was good for pub style food. Service was pretty good, considering how busy it was each night. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 16/20 cfrancis (70) Ottawa, Ontario | February 25, 2013 Great place for me as I was staying in the Venetian. Went for a couple of nightcaps. A little disappointed that the flights were "themed" and I couldn’t choose my own. Nice atmosphere with lots of screens and a solid tap and bottle lists. Hope to get back. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 DuffMan (217) the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta | February 1, 2013 Went here with Parksy and Grippitis. Great tap selection, some good bottles too (Firestone Walker XVI), and fantastic service. Probably the most knowledgeable bartender I’ve had at a beer bar-- he even brought out some stuff of his own to share that wasn’t on the menu and didn’t charge us! Very cool. Definitely will be back. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 jhogan4 (36) El Cajon, California | October 28, 2012| Updated October 29, 2012 Visited here in October 2012. Smallish restaurant and bar with sporting events on TV. 20+ beers on tap, with 100+ bottles available on an iPad menu - pretty cool. The food was very good, and incorporated several of the on tap beers. Dessert was awesome, chocolate cake with bacon bits on top! Tried some of their "beer alchemy" drinks as well - interesting and fun. Great place for a beer lover. | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 16/20 Tmoney99 (366) Cincinnati, Ohio | October 15, 2012| Updated October 29, 2012 Upscale location in food wing of casino. Freindly service with Ipad menu of beers for easy selection. Good selection of beers. Did not have food. Good location if in area. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 14/20 BVery (323) Burnsville, Minnesota | July 26, 2012| Updated October 29, 2012 Visited on 7.26.2012. 24 taps, couple hundred bottles. Was grudgingly given one taster. Taps are 8-12 bucks, and flights of 4 are 15-20 bucks. Decent selection but pricey. | 66 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 14/20 VsXsV (32) Linköping, Sweden | July 10, 2012| Updated October 29, 2012 Good selection, nice taps (24 at this time). Food is really good but pricey (the $19 burger was worth the money). Prices on beers are considerably higher than usual but it is on the Strip after all. Staff were nice but not too knowledgavble. The places is about 20 ft from a big night club so it gets loud. Considerably more expensive than Aces & Ales but worth it if you’re staying on the Strip and don’t want to pay for a cab ride. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 2/10 OVERALL 15/20 phaleslu (314) Cincinnati, Ohio | May 12, 2012| Updated May 15, 2012 Visited here while staying at the Venetian for a bachelor party. Convenient location! Hip, modern, low-lit ambience. Sat at the marble bar. Bartenders were cool, friendly, and seemed to know their stuff, particularly when suggesting beers for people who didn’t know much. 24 taps and a solid list. Close to 200 bottles with a nice range. Prices were high but it’s the Strip so they were in line with expectations. Selection beat the Burger Bar by a long shot. You’re not going to do much better on the Strip than this. Good spot, an lucky to have it in the hotel we stayed in. | 72 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 14/20 MacMoney (57) Alabama | April 22, 2012| Updated May 15, 2012 Went on two days, very crowded and loud on both days. Wednesday evening really hard to even get a seat at the bar (which is quite small) let alone a table. The staff knew their beer and were very friendly, especially behind the bar. The server I had seemed rather snobbish though. The place seems to want to be quite upscale and snobbish, yet the people attending are the regular touristy types. Sort of like the Strip itself nowadays really. Good selection with a lot to choose from. Hefty prices though. Same with the food. Though the entrees are rather ordinary in comparison to the "mediums" which aren’t really big enough in comparison to their prices. The food was really good though. Caramelized oysters with roasted asparagus and a raspberry coconut tart. |
