What a great place. It was about a 5 minute walk from the station, and a bit out of the way. There is pretty much no way you’re ever going to stumble on this joint unless you know where you’re headed in advance. The bartender Kohei and the owner were both extremely friendly. For food we shared nachos and a pizza. Although that is pretty standard pub fare, it was not just thrown together. He took time and care to make the food and it turned out really great. We stayed late, and at the end of the night I saw him in the kitchen making his own bread dough from scratch. The beer was excellent. They have 16 taps and a good selection of bottles showcased in the open so you can look through them. Definitely my favorite beer spot in Kansai area so far.

Bunch of bottles and plenty of taps here. A mix of Japanese and American brews on tap with a little bit of everything in bottles. Friendly staff that were also rather helpful. Not sure if it was jsut the night I was there, but plenty of ex-pats were drinking htere as well. My favorite bar in Osaka.

Really nice place. Good selection of beers and choice of sizes too. Prices seemed about normal. Slightly reminiscent of a Belgian cafe. Lots of wood and a large selection of good Belgian stuff in the fridge too. I will back here again definitely.

Thanks to KyotoLefty for taking me here! Nice little place with a solid selection of japanse micros on draught and mainly belgian and american beers on bottle. Service was good and friendly and the waiters seem to speak enough english so an non-japanse speaking customer won’t feel awkward. Prices are average for Japan with most beers costing 1000jpy for an american pint. Nice and relaxed vibe here. Glad i came!

Excellent tap selection and service. Nice foreign taps rotating through. A must visit when in Osaka, easily combined with one or two Beer Bellies which are 10 mins away.

Nice little place. Owners are friendly and tap and bottle selection is very good. Strange squat US pint glasses though. Took me forever to find it but when I did i ordered two pints of Shiga Kogen House IPA and the owner made me Okonomiyaki, even though it wasn’t on the menu. Worth checking out.

Seven or eight years in business, and it’s still one of the best craft beer places in Osaka. The owner is passionate about the brews and often attends events/festivals to seek out new beers. The tap list isn’t overwhelming, but generally has many of the best that Japan offers. Also has Guinness, Sappor Edelpils, and Hoegaarden on tap for those who want something regular. Very large (200+) and varied bottle selection, too. Prices are normal; most brews are offered in three glass sizes. The owner holds frequent beer events, which are always fun. Friendly crowds and good service. Not difficult to get to, either. A short walk from Yodoyabashi Station. This is a good place to visit when you are in Osaka.
Update: The tap selection has been uninspired lately, as the owner seems to be busy with his second cafe. Bottle selection is still good. Newer places in the area provide some competition and varitety.

UPDATE: I would not recommend popping in just for one unless it is early, as we were a bit shocked to find the table charge and now 8% tax can make a single UK pint 1620. PREVIOUS: They increased the number of taps a couple years ago and have a wide range of J craft. Nice bottle selection, heavy on Europeans and a few American, but many are 1300yen (tax Incl). About 15-20 min walk to Umeda/JR, or 5 min to subway. No cover charge before 6:30pm, otherwise 300 yen per person (you do get a little bite of something for that though). Good Japanese craft beer, plus a few foreign gems that rotate through. Got a pint that was a bit low (5cm of head), but they readily topped it up when asked. Food was decent (sausage platter good).

Small, cozy pub with tons of bottled beers and many good Japanese craft beers on tap. You can always find many good micros from keg or cask. Usually a couple from Germany or America as well. Not a whole lot of English spoken, and there is a $3 charge if you come after 18:00. 5 minute walk from Yodoyabashi station on the Keihan or Subway Midosuji lines. This is still a must stop, even though the selection has become a bit less interesting lately, since the owner opened his second place. Still very good, and the best in the neighborhood, but new places are closing the gap a bit. With so much else in the neighborhood now, I am more likely to hit here for a couple and then crawl around a bit.
