I have only been to the upstairs bar. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about beer and have good suggestions readily available. The view of the Oakland/Alameda estuary is magnificent and accompanied with an excellent beer makes for an outstanding afternoon. The atmosphere is very casual and everyone I have came in contact with has been a pleasure to speak with. Just wish I could bring my puppy there.

This is a hidden gem! It is in a renovated historic lighthouse with a casual yacht club dining area downstairs and a peanut bar upstairs with plenty of good beer (e.g., Arrogant Bastard and Carnegie Porter). A fantastic view on the outdoor patio overlooks the marina. This is the perfect place for late afternoon beer.
