60 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 10/20 jsquire (125) St. Marys, Ohio | January 6, 2013 This is a chain place with a real corporate feel. The Dixie/NOLA theme seems forced and the beer seems an afterthought. The food was nice and once I found a spot in the bar the service was okay. I can’t imagine how hard it would be to get a table here in tourist season. It would be okay for a family or non beer people while on vacation, but in no way a beer destination. | 64 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 12/20 drowland (142) Jacksonville, Florida | October 16, 2012 Went on a lazy day and stopped in for a few beers and an appetizer.
It’s a well-lit, chain-like restaurant with a beach atmosphere. The back bar is by some big windows with a nice view, which is cool. Otherwise, it’s mostly forgettable.
My bartender was prompt and friendly, but really couldn’t speak much to the beers.
Their selection is basically their stuff and BMC - maybe a couple locals.
We ordered some sort of Cajun dip and it was served about room temp and somewhat gloppy, but it tasted okay...
The food is way overpriced, but that comes with the area.
Overall - stop in if you’re up in the Atlantic beach area and want some ticks. Otherwise, don’t make a trip out of it. | 74 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 Msumax1985 (13) Florida | November 27, 2011 Just OK. | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 beernovice39 (196) Montana | August 11, 2011 Very nice setup, very corporate yet homey. Three different bar areas. Food looked good but did not eat. | 76 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 Belgolver (2) Florida | February 26, 2011 Cool hang out in an area close to other good bars so its a great place to spend an evening. Very good food. Average brewpub beer quality. | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 18/20 stimmers (11) | December 16, 2010 Good food and must do when in Atlantic Beach. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 lithy (156) Capital of Appalachia, Pennsylvania | July 13, 2010 Typical chain brewpub in the Gordon Biersch vein. Standard lineup but had a couple different seasonals available. I had particularly good service and chat with the bartender on this day but didn’t eat. Very close to the beach, nice spot if you’re in the square on Atlantic Beach. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 Ibrew2or3 (301) Tempe, Arizona | September 6, 2009 Nifty little joint right near the beach with brick and wood décor and a bit warn in. I think if it was a good beach day it would be tough getting here and finding a place to park. The help was friendly. The sample platter of house brews was $3.75 (now that’s a nice feature). Most of their brews are pretty thin and nearly forgettable. Wow, this place would be amazing if they had some solid unique well crafted offerings to go along with their very tasty food selection. | 64 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 sebletitje (241) Enghien, Belgium | August 16, 2009 Visited along with ibrew2or3.
Nice location right by the ocean.
You can quickly tell this has a definite corporate feel which I absolutely hate.
Beer selection is limited to average brews while the food menu was appetizing. I did enjoy the lobster taco a lot.
Beers sampler is fairly priced at $3.75, service was ok but nothing memorable. Inside is clear and stylish. Not much atmosphere to speak ok.
Worth a stop while in the area, mostly for the food rather than the beer. | 50 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 5/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 10/20 azorie (28) Florida | August 11, 2009 Ok its at the beach which is 1 good thing it has going for it, sadly the rest goes down hill fast. The beer is the worth of the A1A, 7 bridges clones which are in theory Gorden Biersch clone. I been to two GB places this one is not even in that ball park. Ok the food varies, most would go for seafood and its ok, a bit pricey but again your at a tourist outpost corner of Atlantic beach get over that. They can have music. Ok why am i rating it, well its on a beer web site and that’s the ONLY reason i visit to try different beers. They got 5 or 6 depends on if they are out or not. Their beer sucks period end of story I would not wish this swill water on Gibb. |
