Almost at the far western end of Urmston and opposite a school that makes the road uncomfortably busy twice a day, this pub does have a decent sized car park if you happen to be here on a midweek afternoon. This is a very decent Sam Smiths pub with three rooms with the bar stretching between all areas. The bar area is to the right as you go in, but the best room to the left is very comfortable with fine soft furnished furniture and a pleasant atmosphere. The walls are littered with photograph’s of Urmston’s long gone past. There’s a good range of the brewers brews including cask and keg and a number of bottles.
