Decent selection. Friendly staffs who are willing to help. A good place to go if you are in the neighborhood but not worth driving out to make a special visit

Like many liquor stores, especially in New Jersey, Beer ranks 3rd in the great scheme of things. The beer is stuck in the back left corner of the shop. they have a lot of BMC stacked high on the floor and bursting from the coolers. They had several shelves of bombers of local and regional labels. The Belgians and Germans were a bit lacking. The ambiance is 60ís era liquor store and I noticed a couple of the beers had sell-by issues. (one of the Unibroueís was 2 years passed itís sell-by date.) Also for all the space given to bombers, it would have been nice to see a pick six section.I guess this place is decent if youíre in the neighborhood but itís not a destination place.

Maybe not the biggest section for beer but always a good selection. Whether youíre going in with a specific need or looking for something new, Ramsey is a good place to check out. Nice selection from the beer hot spots including a nice focus on Belgians and West Coast. Friendly staff.

Without meaning to be repetitive but this place has their con: itís shabby from the outside, not a lot of space allocated for beer, and the price tag for the beer. With that said, think of it as a diamond in the rough. It never gets congested in the aisles, the (vast) selection will not disappoint and there is always someone asking if you need any help finding something. I still rate the "value" of RL high because the price to selection ratio is still worthwhile.
Unrelated: they have a top-notch Port selection.

Third store stop of the day and this one did not disappoint. The sake selection was quite nice, but most were just a bit too high end for my budget so this time we didnít leave with a bunch of sake (unlike the last two shops), but instead managed to find some nice beers that the last two didnít have. Really good selection, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Worth a stop.

Ramsey Liquors is my Northern NJ Beer Store of Choice. Its about 10 minutes from my work so I tend to swing over there during lunch breaks to pick up bottles to take home.
The store looks like a total dive from outside as its in a strip mall and the door doesnít face straight out towards the front parking lot. Lots of stickers and posters all over the windows so it just kinda looks crappy from the outside.
Once you get inside you see a fairly expansive non-chain liquor store. Lots of nice choices for all types of wine and spirits. Staff is very friendly and each person tends to have different strengths / knowledge.
Matt is the guy you need to talk to if shopping for Beer. The beer section in the back left corner consists of a nice selection of domestic micros, lots of european imports, and lots of macros.
Prices are expensive (22oz bombers range from $3.99 - $12.99....750ml bottles range from $6.99 - $29.99)
Here is a small sample of some of the US Micros and Belgians they carry: (plus they have a full wall of English Beer, Germans, etc.)

Best selection of beer locally, with some rarities and solid beers as well. Prices are very good considering the selection. Worth a trip if your close.
