Nice place with a good selection of beers. About 30-40 beers on draught at all time and prices are fair for the location. Food was ok but nothing special. Got to try the double-bastard on draught which was a real treat! Will definitely visit this place again when in New York!

I went one of the first weeks it was opened and right away the place was comfortable and the draft selection was great. Slowly becoming one of the best places to go for beer in the city. Never an issue with sampling something first and the staff is friendly.

This has become my go to place while in the city. I don’t know why, but I really enjoy this place. It’s never really crowded and it has a decent selection. Got to try some rare beers on Stone night in late May. Prices are reasonable compared to other bars in the city. One of the few negatives is that the selection doesn’t change much and can become a bit stale.

Exceptional beer bar. 40 Rotating taps. Beer flights priced very reasonably. Owner is very good at keep the place fresh.. Brewery Tours, Tastings, Events etc. Often they will flood the taps with multiple offerings of one brewer, very cool. I’ve noticed with a new addition to their female bar tending staff they are growing more knowledgeable!

This is the best craft beer bar Ive come across so far in NYC. The owner really stays on top of the tap rotations, and usually has +40. Majority of the staff & bartenders I’ve encountered are extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. The ambiance of the place is great - lots of craft paraphernalia with an Irish undertone. Beer menus updated weekly with taps separated by beer style, alc content, country of origin, and the RB score. Usually events & tap takeovers Tuesdays. Live music every once in awhile as well. UPDATE: Not the same without Patrick.

Up and coming place, with everything on tap being great and virtually no duplication with The Ginger Man. So that alone was worth the walk over. Service was not as fast as Ginger Man, the staff is going through its paces. Its a deecnt sized bar, and several tables to the side. A typical bar, and perhaps on the smaller side for Manhattan. Music was forgettable, the crowd less Yuppy on average and more relaxed, and higher percentage of guys particulary not in suits, than The Ginger man.

Really nice place with friendly staff. Serves 4 beers in flight which makes it easier to taste larger part of their selection. With 40 taps and about 5 casks I hav not even looked at bottles at this place. Being from a country whre 2 beers on tap in a bar is a luxury this is exceptional. Will return here whenever I can.

Appears much like a standard irish pub, but has a lot more going for it beer-wise. Suffers the same problem that many places in NYC tend to in running out of beer around an hour after it goes on, which is annoying, but the breadth of their offerings is sure to please. Fine service to boot.

I had read a fair amount about this place both here and in the BA, so I made a point of stopping in for a round after the NY Car Show at the Javits Center today. While it seemed busy in the late afternoon, the attentive bartender exerted a masterful command of her domain, knew about the products she had (she liked Tripel!), and made some solid suggestions to me from their big beer menu. As a manager of a good beer store, I was impressed by their selection as well as the four casks on hand. One round turned into three and then a late lunch came too. I noted a mixed crowd of both younger 20’s to older 40’s enjoying the place. Upon leaving, I made a note to myself to return next week for a round or three with some friends to enjoy it too.

Very pleased with this place. Had a nice Irish feel- even the bar tender had an accent. Big chalkboard of the 50ish taps they had on, and a big "pin map" in the back of all the breweries from around the world that they have beers from. Nice cask bar in the back. Must try: beer flight of 4, they give you a menu so you can check off the ones you want. They offer a "traditional Irish breakfast" too- including blood sausage! Didn’t have the guts to try it this time, but maybe on the next trip...after a few pints! ;-)
