Hidden on 33rd, itís deceptively large... walk all the way back for the casks. Indoor feel with dim lighting and so many TVs and paraphernalia it could be a sports bar. Odd vibe overall. Decent service. Tap list is rather large but depressingly local or representing a large amount of beer from 1-2 breweries. The bottle list is considerably larger, even than Blind Tigerís. That said, there wasnít a lot on it that impressed immediately, though most styles were covered rather well. Flights of beer make it a bit cheaper. I didnít have any food, but the menu seemed decent enough. Thereís something frilly about this place, just canít get into it.

"No Crap On Tap" is predominantly written on the large chalkboard wall to the left of the bar. This is my kind of place. Great tap selection across the board to satisfy any palate. The bartenders we had were knowledgeable and friendly. Prices are very reasonable considering the midtown location - for example I spent $7/pint on a Yuengling at a local bar and spent $8/ping on a Green Flash IPA at RNH. A must hit if youíre in the city and a beer snob.

I went to Rattle íNí Hum on Sat the first day of spring. My fiancť has been telling me how great this place was when she went. I was very very excited to go, but as a very well rounded beer drinker Iím not normally impressed by a selection it was no different here (I do know that it will change seasonal so I would have gone back anyway). But this time out I order a Rodenbach Grand Cru, I was told the keg kicked at that no one knows how to change it. Then I ordered a Southampton Double White it was flat so I went to the bar and told them she tried and told me that it was not. I now said that I didnít want anything else and wanted my check. When the check come I was charged for the beer I didnít drink and was told that ALL SALES ARE FINAL. So I paid my check and said goodbye to Rattle íNí Hum forever, also to tell everyone I know not to go there cause it was terrible. I hope youíre happy that a single server lost possibly many many customers forever.

Stopped in for a beer while on tour with my choir.
On St. Pattyís Day.
Very fun bar, would love to go there regularly if I lived in Manhattan. Good selection.
Best part was a big sign which every bar should have, basically "If you like [mediocre beer] try [good beer of same style]".

Now this is a kick-ass beer bar. After a fairly disappointing visit to the Ginger Man, we hit this place. Great taps, friendly waitress and locals, nice vibe. A Seattliteís perspective: If the Ginger Man is like Brouwers, Rattle íNí Hum is Uber Tavern. And the taps...yeah! Humidor Jai Alai, CL Reserve, Rose de Gambrinus...good stuff!

This bar has an amazing selection and great food. They also hold some of the best events in the city (today was a Cigar City event with almost every beer you could want by them). Iíve heard Patrick is great, but I have never met him and the other bartenders are not too knowledgeable about beer and can get annoyed with beer geeks asking too many questions.

Maybe my favorite place in NY right now. Pretty big bar in a decent location make this very convenient. Typically they have good service and decent food. Great tap list with cask too. Nice bottle list but can be pricey.

Irish inspired bar, with a huge tap selection and a fairly amount of bottles.
Not as crowded in the evening as the Ginger Man.
Okay service and prices.
