Thereís always something exciting on tap and always someone who knows enough about beer to talk about it. Pricing does range from fair to fairly expensive, but the flights are good (4, 4oz. pours for $8-12, depending on the beers). Whatís special about this place is the genuine vibe of embracing the craft beer culture. Theyíve just done a great job of establishing a place a craft beer lover wants to come visit regularly.

Visited 8/5/2010, Wednesday afternoon. Place had a handful of people inside. Apparently Irish bartender and bar-back provided okay service. Draft list wasnít extremely extensive, but respectable. Didnít look at the bottle selection. We went for happy hour and were greeted with a surprise: 3-5 pm weekdays, all beers are $5. Thatís $5 for a Chimay in NYC(!).
Atmosphere is nice, service is okay, beer list is respectable, didnít try the food, prices are very nice. Would go back.

I wish this place was in my backyard. Nice bar with lots of great beer decor. Service was meh with a number of beers that we asked for were out. We got updated draft lists halfway though the evening and I still asked for something that was out. A little frustrating but the fact that they have an extensive selection on bottle/tap/cask vastly makes up for it. Menu is somewhat limited but their RNH Burger is a thing of beauty. Iíll be back.

As a visitor to NYC, this place makes you feel right at home...which is odd when 8 million strangers are right next door. Rattle N Hum constantly hosts special beer events and brewery spotlights that feature a particular brewerís selections (When I was there Sixpoint Brewing from Brooklyn was on hand). The food is tasty if slightly overpriced, I would recommend the $9.99 specials. However, what really sets this place apart from others is the extensive beer selection, both on tap and in bottles, and the ability to sample any of the brews before buying. Also, to help you select the best beer for your tastes, RNH offers a beer menu complete with style, country, and Ratebeer.com rating! Rattle N Hum is known in Manhattan as the best beer bar in town...that town just happens to be New York City.

Went to this bar twice on a visit to my buddy Andrewís (Pwn3d) apartment. The place is relatively narrow, but does not feel cramped at all. Cool Irish motif, and an awesome looking set of taps behind the bar. Nice chalk-board wall covered with a colorful bottle list, organized by style. The decor is very wooden and rustic, yet still somehow modern and nice. We had the same waitress both nights, and she was amazingly friendly, helpful, nice, and, ultimately, patient with my friends and I. Wish I could remember her name! She has a true Irish braugh, too, which was awesome. Beer selection is unreal, both on tap and bottled. This is a must-stop for any true craft beer lover. With their rotating featured brewery-style menu, I wish I lived closer so I could go more often and try the super-stupid rare stuff they get frequently. Awesome bar.

One of my favorite bars, one of the few places I can walk into and always find a beer I never heard of and enjoy it. Try to never let me self drink the same things twice in a night, and itís not hard to do. A must is to try a beer on Cask, itís a great experience.
