They still have good service, a lot of lines, however. This place was once epic, then Patrick "moved" to alewife. Since then this place doesnít feel the same.

Favorite bar in NYC. Patrick knows whats up in the craft beer scene(even allows tastings to go on). Great beers on tap (40 taps 4 casks). They cranked it up for NY craft Beer week (20 casks) to bad i missed it.
Patrick has left. Bar doesnít get same quality of beers, or events.

This is a really nice bar. Stopped in here last night for night 3 of the Cask Ale Festival, 20+ Casks = wonderful! Had quite a few good beers at reasonable prices (for NY). Crowd was pretty nice, a lot better then some of the other places Iíve been to in Midtown or Murray Hill or whatever you want to call this area. Lots of nice stuff on tap as well, but I was mostly just enjoying the casks. Excellent service, and quite a few knowledgeable beer people floating around. It was a Sunday night, and NY Beer Week, so I canít say if the scene is always like this, but I will definitely be back.

Another stop on the road trip. This is totally one of the best beer bars I have ever been to, they have 40 taps that are all fresh tasting, nothing tasted was stale. Prices are on the high end, but I wonít complain as they do have flights, which is key. Excellent beer, nice crowd during the right time of day and pretty accessible.

Was very impressed with this place. Went last night with a ~7 people for my birthday and the place was mercifully light on customers (and they didnít seem to care that we brought our own birthday cake).
Very relaxing time tasting good craft beer for macro prices (still pricey, but any other bar in manhattan will charge $7 for a bottle of pale lager, so might as well spent the same or an extra dollar on a good craft beer).
Service was a bit slow (even though it was almost empty) but that didnít affect enjoyment.
Good variety of beer, from more common favorites to the rarer stuff. It sounds like the taps change all the time and different stuff is available every night. I didnít even see their bottle list. I hope to come back during one of their beer events.
I sampled 9 beers and spent about 15-20 dollars, so iíll call that a good night. I didnít have any food, so I canít say anything about that.

New place in Midtown. Visited there in morning hours. Served by our local and friendly Ratebeerian - Deadgirl. Close to subway and touristy streets , also in close proximity to other good beer bars. Frequently organizing beer events. Good to see 4 beer samplers for 8-9 bucks. Good line up in friendly place. Still learning its craft but they moving in right direction. When in NY must visit spot.

Went in tonight with my girlfriend and a friend met us. Nice to have a cool bar with a good, if not pretty damn good beer list with 3, yes 3 casks, but prices were more or less high, but Iím not used to new york fucking $7 pints of lager, but whatevs. Food made my vegan girlfriend happy after my mishap finding a latish night place to eat. and the selection was cool and thematic. Also as a beer geek I respect the ability to get a flight of beer, as a ticker getting 4 4oz beers for the price of one 20 oz or 16oz beer is a nice treat, I always want to rate more and this place obliged that for me. Not too loud either, which is a nice change, but why is this is in midtown, it seems so oddly placed. I had sliders and they were good, 7 for $14 made me a full happy man.

WHAT A DISCOVERY! Long, narrow, beer-oriented venue with wood floor, woodpanelling to 4í-0" and a wooden bar. Subdued lighting. Pub well decorated with beer memorabilia, pump handles and illuminated signage. An area at the rear provides more space for diners. Credit and debit cards accepted. The bar was hosting EAST-WEST IPA CHALLENGE at the time of my visit of 28/07/2009. Very friendly staff (Sara served me all night) and regular drinkers at the bar, Justin, Kevin, Mike and Isaac provided for entertaining and humorous company throughout the session.
All beers I supped were on good form, and the food represented good value for money. A good choice of music. This is an excellent venue, and I recommended wholeheartedly.

A very welcome addition to a growing number of beer bars in the city. Was beginning to think IPA in New York stood for In Perpetuity Absent. Not anymore.
Small detail: the Google map has Rattle íNí Hum in Brooklyn. Itís on the other 33rd St...the one in Manhattan.

Place rating 111. Kind of stumbled on this place, my trip to NYC was not really a beer run kind of trip but I sure am glad that I found it. Nice atmosphere and very comfortable. Great number of taps with lots of local options and more than pleany outstanding beers from throughout the country. Prices reasonable and I would not consider them to be higher than any other bar of this caliber. Service staff helpful and friendly and were willing to give free samples. Option for ísampler platterí which makes it nice because of how many great beers are there.
