Iíve been here many times and at this point this establishment has fully hit its stride so here is my two cents. This is a great matrix of a classic NYC bar and a craft beer establishment. There is always a variety of beers available, from APAs to IPAs, to Stouts and Porters and Cask ales. No matter what style of beer you prefer there will always be something that you like and often something that you havenít tried. They have redone the food menu several times and the food is above average for bar food. If you are a sports fan, they have several screens by the bar, and several large screens in the back seating area and the games are always on. They also have a full bar for your friends that are not beer geeks. They have really combined some important elements to make the place work. Atmosphere is very cool, service is fairly attentive, and the owner truly gives a crap, and works his ass off to make sure people are happy. Additionally they have some great events and get some great beers and brewers to come to their place.

Really nice atmosphere, and a good, updating draft list. The fact that this has a higher rating than blind tiger, though, is a joke.

Nothing bad to say about this place! Went during Elysian Brewery week, got several samplers and some food. The flights were very reasonably priced: 4, 4ozs for $7! The servers are easy on the eyes, friendly and attentive. The menus are well organized. And from what I can see they are always have some sort of event, and give out advanced notice. The look and feel of the place just makes you want to drink!

After going to Spuyten Duyvil in the early evening, I wanted to try out this place out for later in the night. It was very close to coming through as the place I was hoping for. The main things were awesome. 40 beers on draft although it was Rogue week so about half were Rogue. Donít get me wrong....I love Rogue (One of my favorites with dogfish head and stone), but that is also the problem...I have already had most of those, even though it was great to see them on tap. I would love to try out a week with a brewery on that I havenít got to try as much. The food was great as well...The burger especially. The price also wasnít ridiculous considering the quality of the beer and where it was (7$ a pint for most drafts...5$ specials for the ones towards the bottom). What kept this place from getting a higher rating from me was their service/setup for the night (ambiance). The waitresses gave us some attitude through the night on multiple occasions. Also, the yankees playoff game (the 13 inning one) was on and we were moved out of our seats in the back and all but one tv in the place was changed to the washington football game. Iím not a yankee fan at all but really? I understand business is business and some washington fan group may have rented most of the place out but that just kinda threw me off a bit. All that aside this place definitely comes through as one of the best for what matters....beer. If Iím ever back in NY I would love to try it again.

A great place for beer lovers if the staff could be a little more helpful. We came in early afternoon- very little people, so they can not say they where busy. No help in the beer menu, no attention to our requests for some info re breweries
beers on tap etc.
Please order up! and we spill it to you.
So despite it was just around tthe corner from our hotel, we did not return.

Solid midtown choice. Itís a little narrow and definitely on the radar. Prices are a little on the high end, but the place delivers a solid lineup.
