Ambiance is a dark cozy bar witha long bar along the wall and long tables on the other side. Service was good and knowledgable. Selection was pretty good, 40 very solid taps, but nothing amazing. Again, not cheap, but less than I expected for New York. Overall, worth seeking out if in NYC.

English pub feel. Great selection. Very, very friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommended for the neighborhood.

Stopped in during a visit during my visit to NYC. A great selection of taps with a nice bottle list as well. Service was good, but we also went at an off hour. Prices as are to be expected in NYC. Definitely worth a visit.

Great pub very close to Empire State Building. Very cozy with a long bar section and then maybe 15 tables in the back area. 40 taps and most of them very interesting. 11 different Kuhnhenn beers when I visited. They serve flights, which is really good. Food was more than average, we had lunch here several times. Nice bottle selection, but the taps did keep you busy. One of the best places I have been to!

Impressive 40 taps. Cozy and busy bar near the ESB. I was too tired to fully enjoy the offerings. A must for next trip to NYC.

Visited most recently on a few evenings in late May ’12 but have been over a dozen times in the last 3 years or so since it opened. 40 taps of interesing beers from around the US allied to a strong bottled menu. They regularly have tap takeovers (on a Tuesday I think) and I’ve dropped on a couple including Founders (with most Breakfast stout varieties present) and Ballast Point. Happy hour cheap pours (most beers for $5 I think) between noon and 3 or 4. Service is always decent despite how busy it can sometimes get. Food also worth a look in. Great bar, a must on a visit to NYC.

Came here on my NY trip with my daughter. Not busy and had 36 beers on tap. Most of them are available in NC but i managed to get a few that I couldn’t. Had a nice BBL aged on tap as well. Food was decent, service was fast and nice due to the sparse crowd. Had a great time.

Solid selection of various styles. perfect size of a dimly lit beer bar, including ample bar seating, with close to a dozen long tables for social drinking. wifi, which helps for visitors from abroad. 40 rotating taps and a reasonable bottle list. Prices are decent for a bar. Bottle selection is mainly bombers, so an average of about $24 per. But high 90th percentile. Draught sizes vary, but seem dependent on the abv and rarity. Perfectly acceptible for exploring the selection. Glad I stopped in for the few hours.

This is without a doubt, to me, one of the top 5 beer bars in NYC. Their event tap lists are arguably the best, or nearly so, neck and neck with Blind Tiger. They get rarities. I love their draught list which includes Ratebeer scores. Their regular selection is pretty stellar, perhaps not world class but really one of the best in the city for sure. The atmosphere and food is typical Irish bar in midtown, but for craft beer lovers....great by me as long as it is not prime afterwork crowd hours. Value is reasonable for NYC. Staff is normally fast and attentive. If I lived or worked in Midtown this would be my one of my locals.
