Went here after just arriving in NY and donít regret that at all. While the one bartender was a bit uninterested, the other was very friendly, and they seemed very knowledgable in general. The tap list was amazing, combining loads of local stuff with some national favorites. I liked the decor as well: brewery plates, American feel, craft and fresh. The food was super tasty and hearty. Would much, much prefer spending here sipping brews and eating their home made fries and guacamole than all the tourist traps around town. Prices are... Manhattan but very doable. Thanks to RB for sending me here, me and my girlfriend truley enjoyed this before falling in a long sleep.

Fucking awesome place right near Empire State and MSG. Came here before a rangers game. Fantastic selection on tap fuck loads of choices and even some rare stuff on tap. Had a meal here too which was really nice. My girlfriend reckons she had one of the best salads she's ever had. Winning. Good bottle selection and good to have some canned ipas on the menu. One of the best bars I've been too

Cosy bar, nice atmosphere. Went there on a weekday, at around 9PM. Lots of people. Sports games on. Selection is of course impressive. 12 dollar for a 4 taster flight.

Located in the busy Midtown Manhattan, the place looks like one of the million Irish pubs in the city if you just pass by. However, on stepping n you have no doubt that you have just entered a no nonsense no crap no bullshit beer Mekkah. The selection is great, as are the stuff. Flights available in accordance with te No crap on tap! principle. I wish I lived just nearby.

Stopped in for a couple of pints on our way to the Shake Shack. Like others was surprised by the sports bar "persona" but I know that personally if I had a sports bar like this around I would watch a lot more sports at the bar! Fairly good selection with lots of locals, decent bottle list, good service, what I thought were good prices. Was fairly crowded but Iíd be happy watching a game here for sure!

Interesting spot but I feel out of sorts here. Came on a Sunday during a Giants game but hardly anyone was there. Iím shocked because the decor has lots of football stuff with tons of tvs, uncommon for a beer joint. Additionally they go out of the way to talk about Sunday football specials on food and beer. The selection was rough. There were some New York ticks I hadnít had before and they do tasters but overall it was pretty piss poor. The bottle list was equally uninspiring. One interesting thing they do is try to really engage with the beer nerd and technology. The menu lists rb scores for beers, they say to check in on untappd, beeradvocate beermenus etc. Iíve never seen a place push so hard for these things. I like the effort but they fail in execution, it just doesnít vibe with the place. Not a fan, nothing worth coming back to.

Small place in mid-town - right across from the Empire State Building. Went in on a Saturday. Medium-sized crowd. Service was good. Did not eat. Had two beers. Cozy atmosphere. Prices seemed decent for NYC. worth a try if you are in the area.

Visited twice now, once in February 2009 and once in May 2012.

The first time I was here they had just finished with their cask festival, which I thought was a neat idea even if I canít stand cask beer usually. They always have an interesting tap lineup and are open to letting you try things before you buy them. I tried several local beers from places I hadnít heard of both times I was here. Itís great for trying new local beers but maybe not so good for trying the best of the nationally distributed brands (if youíd rather drink something you already know is good instead of trying something new).

Prices were a touch high, as to be expected in NYC. Service was very friendly, even if really busy. Only a block away from the empire state building if you want to see that.
