Interesting spot but I feel out of sorts here. Came on a Sunday during a Giants game but hardly anyone was there. Iím shocked because the decor has lots of football stuff with tons of tvs, uncommon for a beer joint. Additionally they go out of the way to talk about Sunday football specials on food and beer. The selection was rough. There were some New York ticks I hadnít had before and they do tasters but overall it was pretty piss poor. The bottle list was equally uninspiring. One interesting thing they do is try to really engage with the beer nerd and technology. The menu lists rb scores for beers, they say to check in on untappd, beeradvocate beermenus etc. Iíve never seen a place push so hard for these things. I like the effort but they fail in execution, it just doesnít vibe with the place. Not a fan, nothing worth coming back to.

Small place in mid-town - right across from the Empire State Building. Went in on a Saturday. Medium-sized crowd. Service was good. Did not eat. Had two beers. Cozy atmosphere. Prices seemed decent for NYC. worth a try if you are in the area.

Visited twice now, once in February 2009 and once in May 2012.
The first time I was here they had just finished with their cask festival, which I thought was a neat idea even if I canít stand cask beer usually. They always have an interesting tap lineup and are open to letting you try things before you buy them. I tried several local beers from places I hadnít heard of both times I was here. Itís great for trying new local beers but maybe not so good for trying the best of the nationally distributed brands (if youíd rather drink something you already know is good instead of trying something new).
Prices were a touch high, as to be expected in NYC. Service was very friendly, even if really busy. Only a block away from the empire state building if you want to see that.

A fairly large place packed with beer paraphernalia from around the globe. Mostly the focus seems to be a quite safe range of American breweries. Although with 40 taps available there should always be some nice brews to choose from, as long as expectations are not too European or in the far-fetched rarities division. Staff is service minded, and prices quite decent for the area.

What an awesome spot. 30 or so taps of generally great beer. Lively atmosphere on a Thursday night. Service at the bar was spot on and friendly. Plenty of bottles to choose from as well. Great place!

One of the better beer bars in NYC. Although Iíd been before...it wasnít recent enough to do a rating so I returned on 7/27/13. As it was late on a Saturday afternoon...the place was just starting to see some activity...mostly beer nerds and locals as near as I could figure. The selections are usually quite good and this day was no exception. I tried a couple of IPAís and then moved on to a flight of less common beers. This is a fun place to visit with friends...especially later in the evening. Strictly as a craft beer bar though it does not rise above other greats in the City like the Blind Tiger, Spuyten Duyvil, or Mission Delores. The decor is pretty cool though...especially the craft beer logos thay have painted on the walls.

Nice place. Pretty good selection with beer flights. Wifi didnít work so had to write down the reviews to do later. Was just a medium amount of people Friday night so getting a seat isnít a problem (unlike Ginger Man which was way too busy with standing room only). Relaxed.

Fairly good selection and a pretty big interior with large screen TVs keep this place busy on a Wednesday afternoon right below NYís Midtown. Plenty of staff keepís you glass full either at the bar or any of the tables. Nice place to hide away while the rest of your party is shopping...ha ha

Stopped by finally. Not quite my style atmosphere I prefer the look of Gingerman a few blocks away. 40 drafts nothing super unusual but plenty of local stuff. They have printed menus that have the RateBeer score of every beer available which is great. Staff was really nice and it wasnít too crowded when I was there. Flights were 12 each even though it says 10 on big board menu specifies some charge ups and you canít get 8oz pour beers as part of flights. overall decent place but would need a special event to bring me back really
