Stopped in here while I was in town for the auto show since it was only a few blocks away. It was just before 5pm so it was getting packed pretty quickly. We got lucky and snagged the last few seats in the place. Atmosphere was pretty good overall. Lots of people enjoying themselves and the space itself was quite nice. Service was a touch slow but she was doing the best she could so not a huge deal for me. Quality was quite high, proper glasses and all that. Selection was awesome. They had just had a Firestone event so I was able to try some of the leftovers including Opal and Sucaba. As far as food, I got one each of the sliders and they were pretty good but I would probably get something else next time. Prices were high, but I was expecting that. Overall an awesome beer bar that I would definitely return to in the future.

Dank little joint in Manhattan. Extensive tap list (40) but mostly run of the mill stuff. Nice bottle selection with selections from FW, Cascade, the Bruery, etc. Friendly staff and worth a visit if your in town.

Iíve been there a few days after NYCís marathon in november 2013 just after a Knickís basketball match. Great memory. This place is a must-see, for beer lovers. As a French, I discovered many american beers (as Captain Lawrence...) beers we donít have in France. The guide to choose the beer with RB ratings was a good thing. My accent was terrible but I got what I wanted. Great ambiance ! Thank you RB for sending me there :)

Paper log 2011 Ambiance - really fun NYC bar. There usually is enough room to grab a seat. Service - the bartenders and staff, were very friendly and really know their beers. Selection - There is a ton of stuff to choose from, the big board has something that will make anybody happy. Food - food is pretty much standard pub faire, but very good. Value - not bad prices for being in the city. Considering that fact, itís actually quite a good value.

Slightly odd this, looks like another crappy Irish pub in pretty much every way apart from the beer list. I suspect Iíd have loved the place when I was 18, now maybe only on a large night out. But the beer selection is very wide and has good quality, and you can get a not too overpriced sampler. Didnít eat.

Rattle N Hum is in downtown NYC on E 33rd Street near the Empire State building.

The exterior has a nice divey look to it, with stickers and coasters all over the wood and windows facing the street, plus a chalkboard outside and a flag. The interior stays with the theme, Darkly lit, with the bar running along the right side immediately after the entrance, and some tables and communal type benches beyond. Breweriana all over the place, including stickers, flags, coasters and signs. A couple TVs, and a large chalkboard listing the available beers.

The beer selection consists of around 40 taps, featuring regional breweries like Greenport Harbor, Captain Lawrence, Blue Point and Wandering Star. one cask offering as well. Other craft breweries like Lagunitas, Boulder and Bear Republic. Sampler trays of 4 are available. The bottle list numbers over 50, including breweries like Alesmith, Brooklyn, Firestone Walker, Ommegang and Stone.

Service on a relatively busy weeknight was good. The server was familiar with the beer list and attentive through our multiple samplers and dinner.

Food at Rattle N Hum consists of appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, fish and chips and the like. My colleague and I enjoyed our meals.

All in all this is a great bar to visit in NYC and I would definitely be sure to stop in on any future visit.

Great beer place in the very centre of Manhattan, New York. I really liked the decoration. Itís cosy and beer-geek like. Huge tap menu. Flights available. Paper manus with RB rating makes the choice much easier. Overall fantastic bar, but due to location itís crowded and quite expensive.
