English style pub in Kuopio city centre. One Beer Hunter’s tap + 7 other taps. Quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Monday night couple of customers. Moderate or even cheap prices. Cantillon Fou Foune 750 ml 17 eur, Jandrain-Jandrenouille IV Saison 750 ml 15 eur. Couple of big bottles in fridge but the fridge was broken so the bottles were warm. Some bottles in cellar also.

This used to be a great bar a few years ago, but unfortunately the selection has stayed pretty much the same since then. Some vintage Cantillons and other Belgian beers still available, but otherwise nothing special aside from a rotating Beer Hunters tap. Cantillons are super cheap considering their age, but some of the other bottled beers can be quite expensive.

Located in Kauppakatu, Kuopio city center. This place used to be awesome a couple of years ago. They had lots of American and Belgian beers and the selection seemed evolve, but now they still have some beers from that time. A year ago I tasted Westvleteren Abt 12 here, that’s definitely something. Prices are quite low, 14.90 EUR for a large Cantillon bottle can be considered cheap in a Finnish pub when compared to some other places.

Service is good, selection is good but it changes quite slow. Currently they have 8 beers from Haandbryggeriet.

On a side note, there are only three pubs in Finland where Beer Hunters’ beers are on tap regularly and this is one of them. Pikkulintu, Helsinki and of course Beer Hunters brewpub are the other two.
