A few years ago i wanted some mini casks and these guys were willing to fill some emptied for me. Nice old fashioned country pub with horses loose outside ... decent if small selection of beer, decent price and nice sorounds, worth a stop in

Despite the fact that I have lived no more than a 30 min drive from here for over 3 years I only just visited on a recent camping trip. As SilkTork says atmosphere is like a Brewers Fayre/Beefeater/any other pub chain trying to be fakely traditional and focusing on food sales. The beer was not bad, but worth visiting as it is the only outlet usually. I was disappointed with the food - despite the fairly exotic menu shark, unsual fish aswell as more traditional items - it seemed to sum up some of the worst faults of English cooking: soft veg, bland sauce and overcooked meat.

A roomy pub. Atmosphere is a bit like a Brewers Fayre or Beefeater. The food is decent, the place is clean and comfortable with a certain degree of charm. We enjoyed our lunch there. The big draw, of course, is the beer.
