90 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 18/20 gnoff (256) Mölndal, Sweden | October 9, 2012 Visited on October 8, 2012 with two friends. We enjoyed 11 complimentary pours and got two pours of the more fancy reserve meads. Great service, knowledgeable man serving and helping us. Good selection to sample on site as well as to buy for home. My first ever visit to a meadery and it did not dissapoint me at all, I’m very happy we went and it is for sure worth the trip out of your way to get there. | 68 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 11/20 maltdog (71) Colorado | November 8, 2011 Small little bar/shop and tiny sitting area. Free samples of anything you want to try- many options. Even the driest mead seemed sweet to me. Full glasses and bottles seemed a bit pricey. There was a bluegreass duo playing when we were there... mead I can take or leave, but bluegrass gawd no! Unless you are on a tour, or are going to sit and drink, it is just kind of taste and leave. Oh, check the map before visiting, Pearl Street isn not continuous | 64 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 14/20 onceblind (66) Denver, Colorado | August 20, 2011 Quaint little place, got to see the tour and get some free samples of some awesome mead. Not a bad selection of on-tap and bottles to buy. But after the tour, I felt like they wanted us all to buy something and leave. That said, the head brewer and his taproom help sure were quite knowledgeable and helpful. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 Nikiel (10) Portland, Oregon | October 27, 2010 I really enjoyed the mead tasting and was very impressed by the knowledge of the bartender. They had a good variety of drinks (considering they are a meadery) and I will certainly go back. | 90 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 19/20 adnielsen (325) Fort Collins, Colorado | October 13, 2010 This place had great service and all tastings were FREE! I tried five meads and got a nice little buzz for nothing. This place was a lot of fun and I hope to make it back here in the near future. | 50 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 9/20 3fourths (1083) Helsinki, Finland | April 17, 2009| Updated March 16, 2012 Hmm, not sure what I expected but I was surprised to see it’s just a small sampling area with bottles available to go. Selection was interesting, some sort of experimental meads available, some good stuff, dude was nice enough but I came here for a visit and to learn about their mead and I felt I was treated like they wanted me to just buy something and leave. :/ | 78 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 Theis (110) Frederiksberg, Denmark | February 24, 2009| Updated March 16, 2012 First stop of the day - 15 different meads, cheese, fruit, sausage, one cocktail and one beer. What a tour, a very happy enthusiastic brewer. The meads was very different than i expected - very nice. | 82 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 17/20 Skinnyviking (131) Copenhagen, Denmark | January 11, 2009 This is the only meadery I have visited. Normally I am not especially keen on drinking mead as I think it is too sweet and too boring. The guy that showed us around was so enthusiastic that even before I had tasted their products I knew that it would be an experience. It was indeed. A vide variety of tasty and spicy mead changed definately my attitude towards that beveridge. On top of it our tour guide was funny so we had a good laugh. | 88 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 16/20 ajm (191) Los Angeles, California | October 27, 2008 I had a good time. Slipped in just before closing to a very tucked-away industrial strip mall. Inside it’s very cozy - a quintessential brewing nook. Some nice things on sample and basically everything they make for sale. I would go back. | 78 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 15/20 Ungstrup (345) Citizen of the universe, Denmark | August 26, 2008 A small place a little out of town in Boulder, but definately worth a visit if you have any interest in meads. We came in late on a Friday afternoon after the last tour of the meadery was over, but since we came from abroad they gave us a special tour - thanks a lot. The tour in the quite small industrial park building (which is actually quite hard to locate) was very informative - so try to hook up on a tour. (editors note: this was my first ever visit to a meadery, so my base knowledge was not that solid). After the tour we got to sample quite a few of their meads, and the ones we didn’t get for free we bought, so we sample everything that was available on site that day, which was 12 in total. |
