Nice cosy place. Sat outside in the evening. Quick and friendly service (both French, Dutch and English). Selection is rather mediocre and expensive on the lambic side. Food is typical Brussels/belgian. We had the carbonnade wiçh Rodenbachand the rabbit with Girardin gueuze sauce. Both were very well cooked! Overall a nice place, but I prefer Nuet when it come to simple classic food.

Locale carino, tavoli attaccati ad altri, arredamento povero. Buona la scelta delle birre, cibo succulente, ben cucinato, con buoni sapori ed ingredienti. Il servizio non impeccabile, solo due cameriere quando almeno tre sarebbero indispensabili, ne deriva confusione e disordine. Comunque assolutamente da provare

Visited with large group which affected service. Nice local beer made food and beer card with lots of belgian tops.

Located within a walking distance from the tourist-infested area of the city, this restaurant is the place to go to if you are hungry and appreciate good local food in considerable portions. And beer, of course. The staff are friendly, although for non-speakers of French things may get difficult in here. The selcetion is far from huge but decent in terms of quality and includes good lambics and very decent triples. Not very expensive and quite cheerful. Recommended for its quality by the owner of Cantillon and mentioned in Around Brussels in 80 Beers. Might be back again.

Cozy and nice place in a small street of the city. The service is helpful and can suggest the best beer for your dish. Good selection of bottles. Prices are not bad.

Endroit idéal pour manger à la bière à Bruxelles, la quantité et la qualité est présente, de plus il y a quelques bières vraiment sympa à la carte.

I wish I could have left my old review up, but after visiting last weekend, I felt compelled to change it. Where to start? They have changed location, just across the street. Not a bad thing, because now there’s more room. The first part of the restaurant, actually resembles the previous place. A small dining room, with lots of dark wood, a bar and a cozy atmosphere. The second part of the restaurant however is very modern, cold, without any soul. Too bad, it’s a mood killer. The service. Last time we where there, we were served by Alain, funny guy. This weekend, there was no Alain. There was one guy, the maître I suppose, and about 3 or 4 young waiters and waitresses in T-shirt. They were polite, and did their job. But it’s not the warm hearty welcome from Alain.
The food. I started with some very good croquettes with Herve cheese. Very balanced, perfectly deep fried. I know it’s not easy to make cheese croquettes, so maximum score. Then the main dish was the black pudding. I loved the meat, and the mash. But the apple sauce came out of a jar or can. Is it too much to make fresh? And the dessert was the worse. Chocolate mousse with Hercule Stout. Sounds delicious, right? Alas. It was a chocolate mousse, with eggs and sugar, lots of it. They must have not whipped hard enough, because at the bottom of every glass, there was just a watery substance. Disgusting. One tip (and I’ll mail it to you as well, Alain), if you make chocolate mousse with beer, you need 3 ingredients. Chocolate, cream and beer. That’s it. I’ll even give you my recipe. So it really went from great to below average. Too bad, cause I was really looking forward to this.

Want a cheap dinner with some decent beers? This is definitely a great place to check out. If you’re lucky, the owner will be dressing up with every round of beers, to go with one of the beers. The food is what would be described as home food. Nothing too fancy, no frills, but honest food with respect for the classical Belgian cuisine and regional products and dishes. Organ meats, beef tongue and and sausages like black pudding make this place to a culinary heaven of honest Belgian dishes.

Visited May 2013, for a business dinner. Small, cozy place with lots of nooks and crannies. E.g. old newspapers, cooking wares etc. on the walls. As a larger company we got the full attention of the owner, Alain and a waitress. We had an excellent dinner - all regional dishes - paired with excellent Belgian beers. Go here for the local grub and the ambiance. Well worth a visit for dinner or lunch paired with beers when in Brussels.
