Fun, open air all wood interior with large round table wooden bar. Custom fist caryatid columns on the bar. Excellent gastropub level food. Pork belly and egg sandwich was excellent, pesto chicken sandwich was loved by the fiance. The fries here were dope. Service was quick, friendly, was able to keep sample pours organized unlike many bartenders I encounter. Atmosphere was relaxed. Fun place. Beers were above average but nothing was outstanding. Number of house beers on tap was large, enough to keep anyone busy.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon. Started walking towards Revolution from the 4100 block of keystone ave lazily trying to get rid of a hangover. Tried to find taxi cabs, never really did. Four mile walk was tame but lord was a brother thirsty after such a walk. So we scrolled past lord knows how many cool random restaurants to get to this place. Seated instantly our server took a bit of time to say hello, which was fine. Drink orders were quickly put in as we were plenty thirsty. On that end the beers were above standard for a brewpub, but not quite up to par for me to bother to rate them in my current state. 14 or so in house taps, not bad if you need some ticks. Food was the main goal. Soft pretzel had a pretty puny crust, but the innards werenít so bad. Served with some nice hot mustard and the most hilariously generous portion of some sort of cheese sauce (with beer?) that we saved the remnants for the main course. I got the Smoked Pulled Pork which was quite bland. The bun couldnít stand up to the sauce and meat, which basically made this a gooey mess. As far as brewpub food, this seemed to be above average. Waiter was decent. Interior was serviceable. Tons of wood, big bar, spacious enough. Outside you had plenty of beards and cute 20 somethings dressed in nonsense with tattoos, seems like this was once a little rougher neighborhood overtaken by younger kids. Fine. Overall a nice pube, probably a great spot to make your local.

Up to 16 Revolution brews on tap. Ample bottle selection as well. $2 samples available. Really good gastro pub food. Extremely crowded on weekends....be prepared to wait 45 - an hour for a table during peak times.

Went on a Monday night and the place was full. Great tap list, great bottle list too featuring tons of local craft. Service was good from the waitstaff, just ok from the barstaff. Awesome tuneage (bonus points for Stompiní Tom Connors track!). Food was tasty upscale pub fare. Iíd definitely return.

A cold fall afternoon this made a nice place to duck into for a few drinks. A flight of several samples reinforced my previous experiences with Revolution as one of the better breweries in the area. Prices for the most part were reasonable at $2.00 per pour. Full pints werenít crazy either if you somehow exhaust the list of 15+ drafts or just want to stick with an old favorite.
A single entree was more than enough food to two people and they were even kind enough to bring it out on two plates. Expect to spend between $12 and $15 per person depending what you order. The wait staff stopped by several times without being smothering.
If youíve got the ability to walk a few blocks from the nearest El stop then give this place a look with a couple of other bars in the area. Even if it is your only visit youíll have a good time.

Visited 11-19-14. Was able to get a table right away, but the place filled in quickly and was packed by 7:30pm. Decent selection of edibles to compliment a wide variety of beers. Service was adequate given the fact that it was a busy night. Impressive beer menu with some high quality items. Would definitely return the next time Iím back in the area.

Stopped by here at 3PM on a Thursday. Easy parking right in front of the brewpub, but itís $2 an hour. Worth the convenience for downtown Chicago, I guess. Walk inside, the place is beautiful. Really classy, but not intimidating. Itís welcoming. Cool chill indie music plays on the stereo. Walls are decorated with cut up barrels and beautifully-lit wood. Nice 0 shaped bar. About 15 taps, like 8 I hadnít had before. 5oz samples offered for $2 a 5oz, big beers go for $4 a 5oz (not very explicitly noted).. Smaller tasters offered as well. Pretty reasonable. Food looked good, but was out of my budget (why canít any restaruant give me an 800 calorie meal for $6? Itís always a days worth of food for $13, no thanks). Bartenders were reasonably nice but curt, and it often took a little bit to get some help. They were reasonably busy, but not slammed. Cool place overall. Worth the visit.

Really liked this place. Was kicking the night we visited. Great selection of their own beers plus loads of guest stuff in bottles. Very efficient service.the place itself is big and space, with a beautiful rounded wooden bar, with a glass window in the corner which gives views to the brewery. Excellent place. Oh and the food is amazing!

This is a cool spot. We visited on a Wednesday around dinner time. They were releasing a new beer, which is always fun. My pork belly and egg sandwich was very tasty, and the beer selection was excellent, with 16 house beers available on tap. If I lived anywhere near by Iíd be a regular. Great place. Almost everything on tap was available as a 5 oz sampler for $2 too for any tickers out there!

A nice place inside, pretty large but still quite busy. A little loud overall, but oh well. Managed to get a seat at the bar. Very good service, even with being busy & all. Nice tap-list, around 15 or 16 beers on tap with even more in bottles, including beers from other breweries & whatnot. Surprisingly, though, they didnít have a single porter or stout on tap :( Did not order food, but the guy next to me got mussels & they smelled amazing. It looks like half restaurant, half bar, so Iím sure the food menu is extensive, even though I didnít check it out. Some tasty beers; of what I tried, Citra-Hero & Filibister were winners. Priced fairly, & itís nice that you can get 5 oz samples of any beer on the menu, too. Definitely glad to have stopped here.

After a day full of travel delays, I was incredibly glad to finally make it here (where I was supposed to be about 4 hours prior to when I actually arrived). I met TheAlum here and I of course tried all the beers I hadnít had before (just a couple of the bottled/canned offerings).
On the whole, the place is nice. Nice wooden bar with seating on all sides of the taps, plenty of bar seating and tables around as well. Service was pretty good, even though it was crowded.
The beer quality was good. A couple winners (liked the Dos Osos and Schwarzbier a lot), but a few duds as well. And they have a lot of beers, something like 15 or 16 house taps. Good bottle list as well.
Definitely worth a stop, particularly since itís just a minute or two walk from the train.
