A must stop in Washington. Service could have been better. The waitress didn't quite know the beers we asked about. Food was good and a very impressive selection. Also, a great stop if you see a game at the MCI Center.

Huge place that looks like a warehouse with some tables , turned into a bar . Good selection on tap , bottlelist is big but contains 50 % crap , next to some local beers that are obviously not bad , and some good crafts .... Friendly staff , regular prices . Worth a look

Place probably gets busy on the weekends and game nights, kind of quiet on a Tuesday. Nice selection of cans and taps. Beer centric, pub grub. Lots of local brews

When I visited: Late September 2014.
What I had: Boulevard 80-Acre Hoppy Wheat Beer, Peak Organic Hop Harvest Oktoberfest, New Belgium La Folie Sour Brown Ale, and Tröegs Hop Knife Harvest Ale on tap, Fried Green Tomatoes and charcuterie board to split, Seafood Gumbo for me, entrée salad and several sauvignon blancs for my fiancé.
What I liked: Outstanding draft list with a good mix of local/regional micros and nationally-distributed crafters, first-rate food, waitress provided great recommendations, we enjoyed our intimate table on the patio, reasonable prices, convenient downtown location.
What I disliked: Somewhat of a sports bar vibe inside (patio is a different story), hostess was nowhere to be found when we first arrived so we had to wait a while for seats.
Would I go back? Definitely. Despite its flaws RFD was one of the better spots that we hit in D.C.
Overall Rating: 82

I wandered into this place by accident with a worker for a beer and was surprised they had so many taps - must be one of the best for sheer tap number in the city. Only trouble is they waste a lot of the lines on boring beers - a lot of hefeweizens and such far on the list and nothing epic along the lines of Meridian Pint, Churchkey or the Pizza Paradisos. You can get tasters or samples of anything as well. Prices a little better than the other craft beer places on average. Good location in China Town. (More like China Block by the way, don’t get excited about cheap markets or knock-off clothes).

Good location in the center of the city right next to the Verizon Center. Not much style and the place looks somewhat like a cafeteria. Table service was good even with the place filled with a happy hour crowd. Good number of taps, but only a few really special beers on. I do like that they offer sample-size pours of everything. Food was actually pretty good as well. Overall a solid place.

Stopped in for a couple beers nice place, had 35 taps decent selection. Nothing rare or unusual, miller lite for the uninitiated. Had some local DC brews that we tried and a Brooklyn I can’t get, Reissdorf Kolsch. If you like seafood, legal seafood is a block down where we grabbed dinner. Good beer destination.

Visited this place July 2012-A fairly large dimly lit old-style bar with at least 40 taps and hundreds of bottles. prices were ok however, they have some rare beers, such as New Glarus Belgian Red-how do they have this beer? how did they get it? nonetheless, it was awesome that they have it. prices were ok not too bad considering its DC. I liked this place!

Several visits over multiple years. A must-stop for the beer drinker visiting DC. Always a good selection, prices are a little high but not overly so, and they do let you create your own sampler, which is a big win in my book. Cool local sports memorabilia there, and the locals love to hang out there during Capitals games. When I’m in DC, I always stop there. Good beer, good pub food.
