82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 tomciccateri (116) Albuquerque, New Mexico | July 16, 2012 At Albuquerque Sunport airport. At food court between Concourse A and B. no Sunday beer sales before noon due to primitive state law,
Large 44-place square stone bar. 4 flat screen TV over center of bar with sports channels and obnoxious audio from local TV station. Display with flight departure status! View of runway. Well lit. Adjacent dining area with two dozen 4-top tables.
Rip Grande and Dierra Blanca beers on 10 taps with imports on another 10. $7,95 for 22-oz glass. Flights of 4 4-oz for $5.95. Also 3-shot bourbon flights ! Frosted glasses sometimes used.
Food includes Appetizers $7-9; Soups & Salads $7-13; Burgers & Sandwiches $10-13; and Desserts $5.
Construction (and likely graft playoffs) took one year but now we have some good local beers to drink while waiting on delayed. United flights.
| 56 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 9/20 Travlr (999) Washington, Washington DC | December 17, 2012 Directly ahead as you pass through security, or in between the A & B gates if you’re changing planes. Don’t let the huge number of taps fool you, mist are macro or faux craft. Didn’t try the food. | 50 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 1/10 OVERALL 10/20 DiarmaidBHK (548) Pennsylvania | September 21, 2012 There’s few things more miserable than drinking at an airport bar. No one wants to be there. Everyone is just killing time. Like most airport bars this one is horrendously overpriced.$8.00 for a 20 ounce
Int of boring beer should be criminal. Only half the taps were craft and even the craft stuff failed to inspire. Hey when you have a captive audience you don’t have to be good and this place isn’t good. |
