Decent food. | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 18/20 bhensonb (405) Woodland, California | February 6, 2013 Update: Real ales on the beer engine are back. Nut brown ale 01/06/08. Nice beers. The food is good. The best deal is the bean dip. White beans, all kinds of salsa ingredients, and varicolored chips. Restaurant is ok, if you have the inclination. | 56 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 6/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 13/20 Jimmythespoon (59) , Cyprus | November 22, 2012 Brewpub In a mall... Nothi g special. | 68 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 nearbeer (165) Knoxville, Tennessee | November 11, 2012 Just ran into this place while walking downtown. Decent atmosphere for a mall, and OK service for being packed to the gills in the middle of the day. Variety in the 8 brews was good, with one cask selection available as well. Beers were average to good; did not partake of the food. | 62 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 12/20 BeerandBlues2 (458) Hanover, Maryland | September 10, 2012 This brewpub is located in a mall, though it is open air with outdoor seating. The pizzas were pretty good and the beers were average. The service was friendly and flexible as our group continued to grow. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 marcus (146) Sacramento, California | July 12, 2010 Located on the K Street mall downtown, this establishment is a restaurant as well as a brewery. There is a nice bar with 16 stools and 3 flat screen TVs, a couple dozen tables downstairs, a few more upstairs and an outdoor patio. There are 8 taps of fresh beer that rotate fairly often. There is a menu of standard bar food, as well as some more upscale selections and specials. The barkeep was friendly and helpful. This business was recenlty bought back from the Faultline Brewery and is now employee-owned. | 54 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 10/20 phishpond417 (51) Madison, Wisconsin | June 28, 2009 I visited this brewery last summer when I was in Sac. It is situated inside a mall, and if you are like me and you’re not a fan of shopping- nothing goes better together with shopping than beer. It was a fairly large establishment, you could dine inside or sit at the bar or you could sit in the mall in a railed off area at various tables. Overall I thought the beer was pretty decent and the service was fine. It was a nice reprieve from the intense summer heat that was outside. | 54 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 5/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 12/20 Braudog (655) Hampton, Virginia | November 19, 2006 Visited October 2002: My take: This was an average mall brewpub trying to be fancy. The beers overall were sub-par. Put overall good service and delicious food made it worth the trip. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 DYCSoccer17 (275) Woodland, California | September 27, 2006 I visited this place on a Tuesday afternoon. As you walk in, the bar is to the left and the main seating area is to the right. In front of you is a brick-laden area where the chefs are preparing the food over a fire. Fermentation tanks are to your right, while the brewing tanks are to your right behind the bar. There appears to be a loft with some cast iron motif and seating as well. All in all, the decor is a modern/industrial type similar to that of a Micheal Jordan’s Steakhouse or Bridgeport Brewing in Portland, OR. They had about 8 beers on tap with another beer being on cask (brown ale). The afternoon beer special was $2 10 ounce drafts. The service was good, although he was incorrect when helping a neighbor find a "lager". He mentioned the Vienna was the only lager, despite the fact that there was a Marzen on tap as well. The 3 beers I had seemed a little shotty, but I cannot fully comment on all of them yet. I ordered a Pecan Chicken Breast, which was tasty. Unfortunately, the potatoes it game with were absolutely doused with garlic. If you love garlic, then no biggy, but the garlic was a bit overwhealming even for me. All in all, a decent place, which is trying to be a bit upscale and with an interesting menu and inflated prices to prove it. Not your cookie-cutter brewpub, even though the beers may be average. |
