58 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 4/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 13/20 kassner (63) Wexford, Pennsylvania | November 17, 2011| Updated February 7, 2013 Is ambiance a beer diner. Small with a nice long bar. a few booths. the selection was only 20 taps but over half were beers I had never hhad , some I had never heard of. food was good and the bartender Jeff knowledeable and service was great. Just off the highway and will be added as my one allowable stop and beer between DC and pittsburgh.
2/13 Sorry to say must take the rating down. The selection seemed a little more typical, and that had been a strength, but the big kicker was the servise or rather lack thereof. essentially ignored bywith an empty glass and certainly no friendly conversation. It wasn’t busy but I got the distinct feeling customers should go away and not bother the barmaid.. | 78 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 15/20 hoosiers1994 (20) Maryland | October 8, 2011| Updated February 7, 2013 Great place to grab a fresh beer. Beer change frequently which is good for freshness, but bad if you have a beer you really enjoy....it will be gone soon. On the plus side something else will be available. Service is great, food is good, prices are a bit high, but mostly because they keep the beer flowing via sixtels to rotate quickly. Overall, a great place to get a great beer any day of the week. Staff is great too. Only drawback is the small location, need a bigger bar and more seating. | 80 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 6/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 19/20 titlewave (1) , | July 8, 2011| Updated February 7, 2013 Very good food, excellent beers on tap, awesome 50 cent 2 ounce samplers... Best damn chocolate creme brulee EVER! | 100 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 20/20 bradbarnwell (11) Maryland | June 28, 2011| Updated February 7, 2013 They have a great beer selection. Friendly staff who will answer your questions about the beers on tab. The food is delicious, I love the idea of roasted and baked food instead of fried food. My suggestion on your first visit is to try the Mac and Cheese. |
