Nice traditional sports-led bar not too far from Easter Road stadium. Football and the races will dominate the multiple TV screens but it doesn’t get in the way of conversation. Four cask ales on the bar, predominantly Scottish. Two I hadn’t had before: one from Tryst and one from Inveralmond. I opted for the former, it was ok but not in the best condition. Still worth a look in, and it’s comfortable, convenient and friendly, but not a ’beer pub’ as such.

Classic Edinburgh boozer. Not sure if it still manages to be a very rare regular outlet for cask Traquair beers.

Traditional bar in the east end of Edinburgh not far from Hibernian Football Club. Sky sports on multiple screens and 5 real ales on tap. I had the Atlas Nimbus which I thought was a bit off. Good atmosphere & satisfactory service. Not the best that Edinburgh has to offer but worth a visit on the way to the football.
