Not a destination brewpub, as their main ones are pretty lacklustre, but they also do some speciality brews which are a lot better. Kind of boring modern sports bar atmosphere. Feels suburban though it’s in the middle of the city. Not bad.

Pub and restaurant seating options, for a casual or formal feel. Their beer is good, and the food is great. all pretty decently priced. Service was pretty good, but could be better. All-in-all, solid place, for a chain.

Probably one of the best RB in the country. Always a barrel-aged beer on tap and their IPA is a solid one. Service was great, ambiance is fine, nothing special, but nothing negative. Value is good for downtown Chicago, $5.50 for a nonic of the house beers, $7 or $8 for the BA beers. Solid place and right of the Red Line, couldn’t be more convenient.

Visited for dinner with a large group of adults and kids on a Tuesday night. The space itself is split into three areas - the "grill area" which is more of quiet, white table cloth experience - the bar / pub area which is more of your typical RB experience, and the roof top deck (which is beer only). We chose to sit way in the back of the pub area, and despite our somewhat tucked away location, we had great service. I had a four beer sampler, and the lobster and shrimp taco special. For a RB, the beer selection and quality here are great. The tacos were great as well. The 5 kids were well entertained and taken care of, overall a great spot for a dinner. With its location, I am sure this places gets jammed on the weekends.

Wish I could say that this location separates itself from any other RB other that the beer itself. Unfortunately, the brew is all that differentiates. Nice barrel-aged offerings in addition to their regular brews. Just stop by for a pint, then hit the other stops in Chicago.

Gave it an extra ambiance point over my other Rock Bottom ratings because its in downtown Chicago, and in my opinion, that’s cool. Fun spot - went here to watch football on a Sunday, had several of their beers. Like the other Rock Bottoms, food/beer is just okay, nothing spectacular.
