Visited again early April, 2014, during CBC week.
First had a beer and a sample, ate a 14 oz nice steak. Decided to stay a bit longer and have the 6 samplers, plus a few extra samples for that. Nice and friendly service. Sat by the bar. Was a wait to get seated if I wanted a table. Some outdoors seating at the patio too. A few beers were great, most were just OK.
Visited with a friend on October 13, 2012
Stopped by in between GABF sessions, shared a beer with my friend and we both ate. Crowded, though not overly noisy. Nice place, don’t understand why some don’t go. I’d go back. Nice central location, good food.

If you’ve been to any Rock Bottoms before, then you know what the atmosphere is like here. This one is right on the 16th street mall downtown and was pretty busy even at 2pm on a Thursday. I didn’t think I could find a seat at the bar until I stumbled upon the second bar hidden in the back which was nearly empty. There were eight taps on there as opposed to the dozen or more at the front bar. I went with the Citra dry hopped red on cask, which was actually rather good. Service was good. Did not eat on this visit. As far as huge chain brewpubs go, Rock Bottom continues to be my preferred. They give the brewers considerable freedom and at the Denver location there are plenty of quality options available.

Pretty good sized location. Lots of seating out on the patio as well as inside. Plenty of TVs and bar space. Service was pretty good even though it was very busy during GABF weekend. Lots of beers on tap, including some special stuff. Most of the non-standard (Wit, IPA, Kolsch, etc.) beers were pretty good. Just about everything available in a sample for $1, which was quite nice. Not my first choice of breweries, but serviceable.

I stopped in during GABF week. Large brewpub right on the 16th St. Mall. Typical brewpub ambiance with good service and around 15 beers on tap. The ones I tried were mostly good. The food was pretty good and the prices were fair. Nice location, but really nothing too special here.

Conveniently located chain brewpub near our hotel. Service was kind of substandard. We felt like we were being ignored even though there were only two or three people at the bar. Food was average - at best. Beer less so.

Visited November 2012.
Located right near all the shops and restaurants and walk-able from anywhere down town it makes sense that this place would be really busy. This was the last stop of the night and it was pretty late so I didn’t stick around all that long. Just long enough to try the flight of house beers, of which there were a surprising number. I skipped over the standard ones that are the corporate recipe as they’re the same in every one of the dozen or so Rock Bottoms I’ve been to. Compared to other Rock Bottom locations the beers here were slightly above average. The service was standard of a large chain, as in pretty good and attentive. Reading the other reviews tells me that I really should stop back in during GABF since there will be some barrel aged offerings to try out.

Chain brewery, but this is the best one I have been to out of six.

I was here last week. A standard Rock Bottom located in a touristy section of town. They had 10 beers on tap, and most were average to below. Plenty of TVs and seating. Service was decent. What I expected given my experiences at other Rock Bottom locations. Ok, but nothing special.

Visited here in May’12 a couple of times for a quick drink and a snack in the afternoon. Only reason I came was because our hotel (Marriot round the corner) had given us a couple of free beer vouchers each - rude not too!
usual Rock Bottom selection of a dozen or so house beers with specials. Drinkable but nothing approaching great.
Had some nachos here - usual decent RB portions. Service was fine, place was busy on both visits outside in the patio, a little quieter inside.
Plenty better places to hit in Dever but beer for free - deal me in!

Rock Bottom’s a pretty solid chain brewpub restaurant located in downtown Denver. I stopped in for lunch, and was pleased to see they had 12 of their own beers on tap. While none of the brews were exceptional, they were all pretty decent. The ambiance was fine, well-lit. The service was professional and prompt. My cobb salad was perfectly acceptable. Overall, I wouldn’t travel to come here, but it’s a decent option if you’re in the area.
