82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 17/20 yobdoog (94) Woodridge NY, New York | February 6, 2008 Went here on a night out with friends while visiting Cincinatti. We had dinner and drinks and of course took some growlers home. The food was awesome and delicous and the menu wa huge. So much to choose from we all ended up sharing and we had a great time. Fun atmosphere with a pub feel but very clean and huge. The beers were great and we got some samplers and had a few pints and it is a place I would visit in any city. | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 tapthis (27) Texas | June 11, 2012 This place is just like with any other brewpub chain, just with slightly better beer and food. Though it can get busy in the evening. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 14/20 jessilea (12) edinboro, Pennsylvania | March 18, 2011 The food is enjoyable, the beers weren’t anything extra special, but still very drinkable. the service was really great. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 LilBeerDoctor (208) Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania | December 13, 2011 A fun brewpub (one of the few) in downtown Cincinnati in Fountain Square. A decent sized place with a long bar and plenty of tables, though it fills up pretty quickly. Tap list features 5 regulars (kolsch, witbier, red, ipa, and a "dark" that rotates) plus at least a couple seasonals (pumpkin ale, winter wheat, brandy barrel aged triple) and a couple of cask options. So really, there is plenty of beer options (I came here on 2 separate occasions and still did not sample everything). Food menu is pretty good (I’ve had the hazelnut crusted chicken, which is pure awesomeness, and the crab and artichoke dip which is pretty good). All in all, had a fun time and the beer was good. Please don’t pass over this one just because it’s a chain-the beer is well made and they put out some interesting seasonals. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 17/20 Prcaus (18) New Jersey | August 15, 2007 Was in Cincinnati on vacation so we swung through with a large party on a friday. Food was excellent, server was cute, warm, and engaging in conversation, beer was excellent. It was pretty laid back for a friday, but there is a bar area and a restaurant area. Overall, highly recommendable. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 chaz01 (17) Miamisburg, Ohio | March 28, 2010 Came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon on a recent visit to downtown Cincinnati. Excellent, friendly service who waited on us right away. Normal line-up of beers (lager, wheat, pale ale, etc), plus as a bonus they had a cask conditioned pale ale. I had a seasonal fire chief ale and the cask conditioned ale and both were enjoyable. The food was top notch -- much better than I expected. We had a couple of special dietary requests and they were more the happy to comply. Will definitely be seeking this place out again next time I’m downtown Cincinnati. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 Tmoney99 (366) Cincinnati, Ohio | April 22, 2005 Located on the Fountian Square Plaza. Service was good and the server knew the brews. Sampler is good of the standards and had a seasonal brew. Parking in city garage is $1 for two hours. Growlers | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 Hophead22 (60) Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California | July 12, 2008 Very nice brewpub. Great location, right in Fountain Square. Nice big place, had about 8 beers on tap when we were there in 2000. Was there for the launch of rocktoberfest, got free samples , very cool. Great place to go before Reds games, within walking distance (did it three days in a row). Check it out when in town. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 b3shine (178) Cincinnati, Ohio | July 2, 2012| Updated July 14, 2012 The beers are alright, but the food is great, the staff is solid, and it’s one of the best values to pre game in downtown Cincinnati! Or just to go out for a beer and some braised short ribs for that matter... | 72 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 16/20 jsquire (120) St. Marys, Ohio | April 21, 2013| Updated July 14, 2012 Standard corporate restaurant style brew pub. Their beers are solid examples of the respective styles, they only had 8 taps. Food is good with fancy salads, sandwiches and appetizers. Sort of pricey. What you would expect from Rock Bottom. |
