Came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon on a recent visit to downtown Cincinnati. Excellent, friendly service who waited on us right away. Normal line-up of beers (lager, wheat, pale ale, etc), plus as a bonus they had a cask conditioned pale ale. I had a seasonal fire chief ale and the cask conditioned ale and both were enjoyable. The food was top notch -- much better than I expected. We had a couple of special dietary requests and they were more the happy to comply. Will definitely be seeking this place out again next time Iím downtown Cincinnati.

November 2009 -- I like some of the Rock Bottoms, but this was probably the worst visit Iíve had to one in 10 years. Beers sucked. Didnít eat. Nice location and Iíd give them another chance though because despite the madness, the bartenders were OK. The waitresses on the other hand ...

Part of the Rock Bottom chain, right on Fountain Square in downtown Cincinnati. In-house beers arenít bad, if not particularly special. Food is above average bar fare with no standouts, but Iíve never been disappointed. $2 drafts during happy hour.

Very nice brewpub. Great location, right in Fountain Square. Nice big place, had about 8 beers on tap when we were there in 2000. Was there for the launch of rocktoberfest, got free samples , very cool. Great place to go before Reds games, within walking distance (did it three days in a row). Check it out when in town.

Went here on a night out with friends while visiting Cincinatti. We had dinner and drinks and of course took some growlers home. The food was awesome and delicous and the menu wa huge. So much to choose from we all ended up sharing and we had a great time. Fun atmosphere with a pub feel but very clean and huge. The beers were great and we got some samplers and had a few pints and it is a place I would visit in any city.

Placed right on Fountain Square in downtown Cincy itís central to the entire downtown area. Only a couple blocks from my office I find myself here quite often. Standard brews for the most part with some seasonals that are worthy of a special trip every now and then. Food is decent, a little better than bar food. Their happy hour is worthy of a trip alone, especially if youíre a member of the mug club, $2 mugs of beer.

I stopped here in the hopes that it was different than the typical Rock Bottom but it is similar to the ones Iíve visited in Milwaukee and outside Chicago. There were five beers on tap so selection was limited but covered a nice range of styles. I had the Christmas ale which was decent. Prepare to pay dearly for your pints though - unless it is happy hour or a special they are $4.75 each. Food is on par with any other Rock Bottom which is to say large portions and solid meals. If you are staying downtown like I was (across the street) it might be worth a visit. Otherwise I would drive across the river to Kentucky for some beer and drink it at home/in your hotel.

Was in Cincinnati on vacation so we swung through with a large party on a friday. Food was excellent, server was cute, warm, and engaging in conversation, beer was excellent. It was pretty laid back for a friday, but there is a bar area and a restaurant area. Overall, highly recommendable.

Stopped in here a while back. Selection was typical of any other rock bottom that Iíve been to. Food was good as usual, had a steak sandwich. Parking at this place is awful, it was a bit of a hike in 90 degree weather. All that said, I enjoyed the visit.
