Iíd call this a below-average Rock Bottom - the ones in Denver and Minneapolis have made more interesting beer than this one.

Visited 10/10/2010 (Sunday night). 9 house taps.
Surprisingly busy for a Sunday night. I parked about a half mile away near Milwaukee Ale house and hiked over to Rock Bottom afterwards. Sitting at the bar with my sampler set of course started some conversations and I ended up talking to a person that used to live where I live now, a couple from somewhere on the east coast (canít remember), and a local. Nice people.
The service was nice too. They were happy to answer any questions they could but for the most part left me alone to talk amongst themselves.
9 beers to choose from and some were decent. Didnít try the food. Great location, right on the water.

Visited this joint today with a co-worker. Classic RB feel to it and just a bit too dark, whatís up with the mood lighting at a brewpub? Service was great, waitress was awesome and cute to boot. Less than $5 for a sampler of 5, sa-weet. They had at least 9 on tap, but nothing really spectacular. The food was pretty good as well. Pretzels were solid and the fish taco was tasty! There was a parking lot next to the brewpub that cost $5, but other than that great value here.

Not particularly one of the better brewpubs in Milwaukee. Nice locale, right on the river, downtown. Beers are often sub-par, the food is okay. Nice feel inside and out.

Finally made it here to try out a sampler and grab some dinner. The food was passable, the beer was so-so as was the service, fits perfectly into Milwaukeeís sub-par brewery/brewpub scene. Our waitress went AWOL for a spell there but made up for it by giving us a free pint glass. Lots of TVs with the games on and they have to-go bombers of some of their beers.

We visited RB for the first time this past weekend, I tried everything they had on tap and wasnít overally impressed but was still pleased with the overall experience. We were there during the Brewers game so it seemed to had more of a sports bar atmosphere than anything else. The food was ok, seemed to be priced a little high though. I woudnít put RB on a must visit list if you are coming to Milwaukee.

Visited RB while in Milwaukee and it was an okay place. Itís rather busy, loud, and full of sports-loving maniacs around dinner time, but I guess thatís not RBís fault. The waitress was cute, attentive, friendly, and quick, but she didnít know squat about the beers. The selection was fine - mainly their stuff, which is nothing special. The food was average to good, mostly typical bar food with a snazzy twist to make it seem more upscale. The food was a bit pricey for the place, but overall it was a nice experience that left me full and drinking beer.

I have only been here twice and it has been a few years. But the food was out this world and the Brews are among the best at any brew pub I have hit. Great crowd any time of the day. A must if you are in the down town area.

Iíve been here several times, and will try my best not to compare it to the Chicago location (which is most excellent). First of all, the location is ideal for most of the theatre and sporting events in the city, which is a contributing factor for me spending so much time there. The restaurant looks nice, has a fairly cool bar area, and can accomodate large groups.. also a good thing. The service is entirely hit or miss, though.. Iíve spent too much time trying to get a table when the restaurant was wide open and too much time waiting at a table after seating because no server was assigned to our table.. other times they can be friendly and attentive as can be. The beers are slightly below average, but every once in a while they hit something well (i.e. the Anniversary Bock). Iíve had good luck with the food. Iíll spent more time at R.B., but more for the convenience aspect.

I stopped in here before a basketball game to check it out. The upstairs was fairly busy but the downstairs bar area was not. The scarcity of tables surprised me but eventually I was able to locate one for our party of three.
The food servings are ginormous but that is not the main draw. I was hoping for more selection but they only had a handful of beers on tap - a hefeweizen, Racoon Red, Naughty Scot and a three others. I was expecting a little more diversity but it was acceptable. The two beers I tried were both average. Neither was outstanding.
This might be worth the stop if you are in the area. I think next time though I will walk the extra distance to the Milwaukee Ale House or Water Street Brewery
