Good quality Rock Bottom, good food and a selection of Rock Bottom beers. 2 Cask Conditioned Ales behind the bar

Visited during Northwest beer tour in 2010. Much like other Rock Bottom breweries. Popular/sportsbar type atmosphere. Mostly just the typical Rock Bottom line-up on tap.

There might be some that downplay Rock Bottom as a "chain" brewery but I think in a beercity like Portland they have to keep up. The place was hoppin’, the bartenders were friendly, they had 2 cask ales and their beer club is free with plenty of benefits. I have been to other Rock Bottoms that were more corporate-sterile feeling but this one is nice.

I met my brothers here to watch March Madness in 2009 and they had some decent beers. I probably wouldn’t have stopped by here otherwise with the plethora of breweries in Portland.

The first place i visited in Portland. Quite airy and popular place. 8 own beers on tap (few on cask). Food was ok and sercive too. Worth of visit.

Dont know these places, but went here to see some sunday football games. Considering that its quite ok and there is some beer to rate.

I’ve been to a few Rock Bottoms. Some better, some worse. This one was somewhere in the middle. The Pale Ale is my fave. Brown is good too. I like Rock Bottom despite the corporate feel.

When I moved to Portland (‘92) this was the first place in Oregon I ever had a beer at. Cheers to you Rock Bottom. The beers where great and I was scared as hell as I was about to move for a new job. The food was very nice and the service that night was awesome. This was also on the same weekend of the Oregon Brewers Festival and the rest is history as I became a Beer Geek and fell in love with great Beers and Beer places.

My first thought on sitting down here was, ’This is Wall Street’s idea of a McMenamin’s, a picturesque old building turned into a brew pub.’ Service was almost faultless. Food was passable. Beer was so-so. It was not too noisy but seemed like a place companies pick for their second level Xmas parties

Located downtown about a block from a bus stop for the 15 bus, this is your typical appearing chain brewpub. Very corporate, clean interior with a lack of imagination. There are some high ceilings and some of the brewing equipment is visible as well. Ample TVs with about 8-10 beers on draft. I had a couple, which were average to say the least. I did not have food here and the service was friendly and good enough. Bathrooms were clean and neat. Not too shabby and not too smokey as well.
