Late evening on Sunday 3rd Feb 2013: the 49ers had earlier blown the Super Bowl and this place was subdued and fairly quiet apart from one table full of collage kids who had to shout because they appeared too pissed to talk.
The joint is basic and wooden: as are the pieces of furniture. Chalk Board high up behind the bar tells you whatís on: when I asked for a ZIA Fireside Chat I got blank looks, my eye sight is so bad and the writer of the chalk board so crap it had 21A (as in 21st Amendment) looking like ZIA: oh how we laughed. The staff loved me, even got some free crisps, or whatever Americans call them. Anyway my wife and I shared 6 different beers and had a very pleasant stay, chairs could have done with some cushions though.

We stopped in for a few beers around around noon on a Saturday. Itís near the tourist attractions (Pier 39, etc), which was reflected in the prices but the service was great. They had at least 38 taps of Rogue, Anchor, a few ciders and a couple other random breweries. They had anything you were looking for. We only had an appetizer, the Blue Balls, and they were great. Definitely a great place to take a break from the sightseeing and relax.

Visited several times after hitting SF Brewing and then twice more recently.
Despite what a lot of people have to say about Rogue beers here this place is pretty cool. Right on the edge of North Beach and on a main street with several bus routes going right by here. What I like about the place is that they have something like 20 Rogue beers on tap. Sitting at the bar is easier for getting flights of things but the tables are good too if you have a lot of people in your group. Just be warned that the tap list in the back room isnt always up to date; I guess they have a decent turn over.
Service is friendly but sometimes hard to get ahold of. They get pretty busy certain times of the day. Prices are reasonable and Iíve heard on your birthday theyíll give you a free beer.

I didnít even know this place existed in San Francisco until my cousins-in-law took me when I was there on business. Itís not often that the three of us get tipsy all in the same bar, but this place was that warm, comfortable, and relaxing, all the while bustling with fun and charisma. The well-lit layout encourages interaction with other patrons without the discomfort of sitting on top of people. The service was ok, but at least it wasnít bad. You might wait for a few minutes when you make your trip up to the bar and bar keeps arenít going to entertain many questions. But at least theyíre not condescending jerks that so many craft beer joints seem to employ. There is a great selection of home and guest beers. I had a wonderful time here and would love to go back as soon as I can.

Came here a few times during a Sep í08 visit to San Fran.
Rogue only beers (from memory) which do a job but are nothing special but the atmposphere was really good here and we made friends with some of the locals, hence coming back a few times.
Service was good, generous with the hard liqour pours for my girlfriend.
Food was adequate bar fayre.
Wouldnít go out of the way for this place tbh - but we enjoyed it and I wasnít ticking in 2008 so happy to drink the same thing over and again!

Had a very good experience here. Had the taster flight so tried most of their beers on tap. They have a whole other section of guest beers which gets pretty interesting. And if you still donít find something on tap yo can go for something from their bottle shop and drink it there. The place itself is nice and clean, helpful but fun staff nice people.. definitly worth checking out..

A little slice of Oregon right here is SF! Great location in the middle of up scale north beach. The ambiance is very nice inside. Itís basically a classic old school American brewpub with a big comfortable bar and plenty of seating. The selection of Rogue beers is obviously huge with a good number of guest taps as well. I didnít have the food. The service was friendly and attentive even though they were pretty busy. They have some outdoor seating which is nice. I really have no complaints about this place even though itís hard for me to get excited about Rogue beer these days. This place, Churchkey and La Trappe make a pretty nice pub crawl in this section of town.

Somewhat like the Rogue Public House in Portland. Packed to the gills on a Friday night- lots of beer offerings that are all available on a sampler tray. Cool atmosphere. Young folks. Fun time. Hope to be back soon.
