Upscale and nice with a great bar area, patio and fine dining. Staff is pleasant and has a decent knowledge of beer. My only complaint is sticky menus, kinda gross. Selection is IPA heavy which is great. Lots of beer from all over the map. Tasting flight at a decent price. Food is upscale pub and priced ok for what you get. Good place, especially for non geeks.

Busy sports bar with that mix of young folk wanting to get drunk on spirits and the sports crowd drinking pints. Not too adventurous beers on tap but hey thereís options.

This spot is close to Waterfront Station/in Waterfront Station - depending on which line you want - an eminently confusing situation, but I digress. Large pretty posh upscale space with a sizable deck wrapping around the outside of the bar as well. I donít think they attract a beer crowd, but there is a solid selection of brews on tap - including a few from Alameda that Iíd never seen before. Friendly server - since Steamworks hasnít tried anything new in the six years since I moved from here, itís worth giving these guys a try next time youíre in the area.

This used to be the Transcontinental. Located in Waterfront Station. Atmosphere and vibe are hip, young and trendy. I guess I prefer slightly less polished, edgier, or more working class venues in general. Anyway, we did receive very good service. Food was decent but spendy. There is a medium sized selection of quality beers on tap. Overall, a decent addition to the Vancouver beer scene, but no threat to the Alibi Room.

Bar service is quite good. Personable. Mainstay taps leave much to be desired, but the some-what frequent rotation of local designated craft taps is fairly decent, however dependent on availablility theyíre restricted to by the brewers is.
Prices for local brew sleeves (14-16oz) is VERY reasonable compared to other bars/restaurants in the area.
The responsiveness and enthusiasm of the twitter account rep is great. They offer daily promoís (not just for beer) for followers and increasing support.
Every day of the week there are beer specials on local craft beer.
All in, a solid very-central place for beer
