This spot is close to Waterfront Station/in Waterfront Station - depending on which line you want - an eminently confusing situation, but I digress. Large pretty posh upscale space with a sizable deck wrapping around the outside of the bar as well. I don’t think they attract a beer crowd, but there is a solid selection of brews on tap - including a few from Alameda that I’d never seen before. Friendly server - since Steamworks hasn’t tried anything new in the six years since I moved from here, it’s worth giving these guys a try next time you’re in the area.

This used to be the Transcontinental. Located in Waterfront Station. Atmosphere and vibe are hip, young and trendy. I guess I prefer slightly less polished, edgier, or more working class venues in general. Anyway, we did receive very good service. Food was decent but spendy. There is a medium sized selection of quality beers on tap. Overall, a decent addition to the Vancouver beer scene, but no threat to the Alibi Room.

Bar service is quite good. Personable. Mainstay taps leave much to be desired, but the some-what frequent rotation of local designated craft taps is fairly decent, however dependent on availablility they’re restricted to by the brewers is. Prices for local brew sleeves (14-16oz) is VERY reasonable compared to other bars/restaurants in the area. The responsiveness and enthusiasm of the twitter account rep is great. They offer daily promo’s (not just for beer) for followers and increasing support. Every day of the week there are beer specials on local craft beer. All in, a solid very-central place for beer
