Best place in Palo Alto to go drink all night but still have a good selection. Four pints of Drakíes IPA served from a cask coupled with a dozen games of darts is a good way to spend the night.

Good place for your Pub type ales and English/Irish imports. Donít go looking for the rare microbrew, but quiz night is pretty fun.

66 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 14/20
Best place for a beer lover in Palo Alto. Can get crowded in the evenings; I always go at lunch or just after. Always something interesting on the taps. Dark pseudo-Brit pub inside, picnic tables outside.

No one has reviewed the Rose and Crown for over two years, so I had to speak up. Iíve had many great beers here. I had my first sour (RR Supplication) during a 2010 SF Beek Week event. I had Lost Abbey Angelís Share for the first time. On my last visit (last weekend) I had Bittersweet Lennyís R.I.P.A. and Sierra Nevada Estate Harvest Ale, passing up the Highwater No Boundary IPA since I had already had it. The food is so-so, and the service is variable, but Iím not aware of other places in the area with such a good (and changing) selection of interesting beers.
